Beautiful.

The only word that echoed through his mind as he watched her sleep.

Yea, creepy.
Kevin knew that very well.
But what he could do when he couldn't tear his eyes off her for a second?

He sighed, rubbing his chest absentmindedly.
After she'd joined him on the balcony last night and refused to leave because of her hardheadedness, he realised he enjoyed her company.
Much more than he was supposed to.

Ever since that incident four years ago, no one had been able to stay with him through his terrible moods until they'd faded.
But last night, all Virginia had to do was bring up the topic of one of the songs he'd written during his gloomy days and his mood instantly lightened.
He'd even offered to play for her.
Absurd.
Yea, he knew that too.
And offering to play her one song had turned into playing her his entire playlist.

A smile tugged at the edge of his lips as he continued to watch her, recalling how she watched him with utmost attentiveness as he sang to her.
How she wrinkled her nose In disgust and her face flushed with sheer embarrassment as he sang one of his songs which was filled with nothing but sexuality and sensual words.

Kevin's chest rumbled with laughter unknowingly recalling how she looked like she wanted the earth to open and swallow her.

"What's funny?" Virginia's voice filtered into his ears as he gazed down at her.

She was awake, thanks to his uncontrollable laughter.
"Oh.. You know.. I just happened to remember your expression when I sang 'sex with you'" he wiggled his eyebrows, lifting himself to sit.

Virginia scowled at him, sitting up from the pile of bedspreads they'd slept in.
"Don't even bring that up Kevin!"
"Why? It's a pretty good song and I love the line that says... F*ck..."
"Enough!" Virginia cut in her face looking flustered as she looked everywhere but him.
Biting her lips.

Kevin laughed, reaching out to flick her nose.
"You're so cute when you're flustered"

Forcing a frown on her face, Virginia got on her feet and stormed past him fighting back the smile threatening to creep up her face as his laughter echoed from behind her.

His laughter.
Such music to the ears, she thought as she walked out of his room.

But she wasn't going to admit that of course.
Not until hell freezes over.

"Hmm unlike some shabby ones, this orphanage is quite fancy I must say" Brandon commented as they stepped through the large open gates unto the compound where they were stopped by a guard who checked them for any foreign materials.

"Wow, they even have guards on patrol?" Brandon added awed at the tight security as she showed them her ID and they were given a pass.

"That should tell you something shouldn't it?" Becky replied as they walked ahead.
