Virginia stood rooted to the spot as she watched Kevin walk out. She let out a deep sigh. Blinking rapidly. Trying to a recover her thoughts. He had touched her. Touched her down there, thrice and he had pulled back abruptly. She could still recall the look of confusion on his face when he pulled away. He must have felt it. She was sure. He must have probably realized that she wasn't normal, at least not down there.
She bit her lip, adjusting her nightwear. What was she going to say to him now?
A sudden loud sob from downstairs caught her attention. Curious, she quickly grabbed one of Kevin's shirt and wore over her nightwear and dashed out, descending the stairs two steps at a time.
Reaching the foot of the stairs, she dashed towards the door.
"Kevin? What.." Her words got stuck in her throat when she set eyes on Kevin, staring down at someone. A Lady to be precise. She was limp on his arms or better still, he was holding on to her, arms gripping her waist, her feet positioned at an odd angle on the floor and arms dangling by her side. She looked to have passed out.

"Kevin?" She called out quietly, moving to stand behind him.
He didn't respond.
"Kevin" she tried once more, rounding him to stand in front of him.
No response.
His arms were securely around the lady's waist yet he seemed to be far away. There was a far aware look on his face. Eyebrows pinched together, eyes staring at the lady's face, unblinking.
Slowly, Virginia reached out to touch his shoulder calling out his name again.
He blinked, once, twice almost as if he'd suddenly been snapped out of whatever trance he was in. He slipped an arm underneath her thigh and the other at the small of her back and lifted her off the floor.
"Shut the door. Turn off the lights" he Instructed without glancing at her and walked upstairs with the strange lady in his arms, disappearing into one of the guestrooms. Virginia watched them until they were out of sight and then turned to do as Kevin had instructed. Done, she went upstairs and into the guestroom Kevin had disappeared into.

He was seated at the edge of the bed, watching the sleeping lady. So many questions run though Virginia's mind. She was tempted to ask him who she was and why she was here at such ungodly hour of the night.
She bit her lip, still standing at the door, watching in silence. Her eyes moved to Kevin after a while and immediately noticed blood on his chest.

"Kevin... Blood.. On your chest" she muttered quietly, leaning away from the door and walking over to him.
"Hmm?" Kevin snapped his head in her direction.
"There's blood on your chest" she repeated and he looked down at his chest, blinking.
He seemed to be in a daze.

"It's not my blood" he replied and as if on cue, the lady stirred just then.
Her hands twitched by her side repeatedly, followed by mumbling incoherent words. Amidst her incoherent mumbling, she began to thrash about, flailing her hands desperately in the air as if trying to ward potential danger away. Her eyes were still closed.
Kevin reached out, grabbed both hands and tried to pin them down over her head but it all proved futile. All he gained was hits to the face considering how fast she was flailing her hands.

"Calm down Selena. Calm down! Open your eyes!" He tried desperately to pin her down while she fought against him.

Wait.

Virginia blinked.
Did he..did he just call her Selena?.
The same Selena they'd been talking about since yesterday?
The same Selena who was her boyfriend's ex fiancée and mother to Ryan?.
No it couldn't be. This was too much of a coincidence.

Lost, Virginia stood mutely watching Kevin try to calm her down. Her eyes snapped open.
"No..don't hurt me.. N..not anymore.. P..please! Please don't!" Her words were jumbled as she continued to scream.

"It's me Selena! Kevin. It's me!" Kevin yelled gripping her shoulders and shaking her hard.
She stopped fighting him. Her hands dropped limply to her side as she blinked, focusing on Kevin.
