Kevin groaned in frustration,pacing to and fro in the hospital ward as he tried to find his clothes.

Where were his clothes dammit!

Who the f*ck put him in this hospital gown?.
And where were his clothes!

Argh!
Only God knows how many minutes he'd spent searching for where his clothes had been kept.
Each second he wasted here was like a waste of lifetime.

He groaned again, tempted to smash something.

Tired, he stopped moving and placed both hands on his hips, staring at the gown he was wearing.

He bit his lip.
He had to leave before his mother came back in.
That woman could be a nuisance.

Think Kevin! Think!

Either he stayed here searching for his clothes and get caught or he could just leave in this ridiculous gown and get clothes later.

F*ck this!.

He turned towards the door.

Virginia's life was worth more than some clothes which he could replace as easily as he snapped his fingers.

He reached out for the door knob when it turned on it's own and the door opened.

Shit!

Katy stepped into the room only to bump into her son.

She stared at him.
"Going somewhere?" She narrowed her eyes at him.

"Yes." He replied impatiently.
"Kevin" she warned
"Get back into that bed"

"I'm not a child mother. Do not order me around"
"I will treat you like a grown up when you act like one. Seriously Kevin what do you think you'll achieve by going out there all alone to search for Virginia in a place only God knows where with a head injury huh? Just look at you! You can't even stand properly let alone walk without tripping. What's wrong with you!" She snapped

"Out of my way mother please" he ignored her.
"No Kevin. Your father is out there with the police searching for her. You won't achieve anything Kevin. The only way you would be able to help if you're hale and hearty"

"Until when mother? It's probably gonna take a week or more for this damn injury to heal and until then what mother? Shall I lay in bed, watching Netflix while I sip some wine?" He asked sarcastically.

Katy signed..
Always as stubborn and hot headed as ever.
"Try to understand me son. This is.."

"Why don't you try to understand me too!"  He flared up

"You want me to understand you yet you're making no effort to understand me! Virginia is in danger mother! And every second I waste here arguing with you only increases her stay with those monsters who took her. I cannot sit here in this hospital comfortably with nurses and doctors attending to me to make sure I'm okay when Virginia may be going through worse! I cannot stay a minute longer mother. I'm sorry but I'm leaving whether you like it or not"

Katy stared at her son long and hard before letting out a deep sigh.
She frowned deeply as though she hated the decision she was about to make and then turned and beckoned to the man standing outside dressed in an all black outfit.
He walked towards her.

"Yes ma'am"
"Go with my son. And make sure you return with him safe and sound else I'm going to have your head"
Kevin frowned
"Isn't he supposed to be guarding you mom? I'll be fine"

"Shut up Kevin McCauley Bloom! He's coming with you, no questions. Either that or you get your butt back in that bed"

Kevin groaned.
"Fine. Come on Steven" he motioned to the bodyguard.
"And mother?" He turned.
