**Virginia woke up the next morning to the smell of chicken and curry. She groaned, rolling onto the side.
"Wake up love" The voice was accompanied by a slight tap on her shoulder.
She swatted the hand away and buried her face into the pillow.
"You know, you're going to derive your lungs of oxygen if you keep your nose buried in the pillow like that"
She groaned again, flinging the pillow away and sitting up abruptly, frowning.
"You aren't a morning person are you?" Kevin wiggled his eyebrows, the bed sinking with the added weight as he sat down next down her.
He pushed a strand of hair away from her face. She looked at him with half opened eyes, feeling drowsy.
"Not when I haven't had a good nights sleep" she huffed, blinking rapidly to clear the drowsiness.
"Just let me sleep" she grumbled, laying back down and covering herself with the duvet.
"Today's Tuesday you know" he added.
Virginia's eyes flew open instantly as she jumped off the bed in an instantly.
"F*ck! I'm going to be late for work" She cussed and then blushed
"Uhh. I...I mean blimey!"
Kevin burst out laughing shaking his head.
He'd never met someone who could blush by just using a cuss word.Virginia ignored him and scrambled into the bathroom, dragging her towel along.
Twenty minutes later, she emerged wearing a bathrobe, a towel around her head.
She raises an eyebrow when she saw Kevin hadn't left. He'd made himself comfortable on the bed instead."Hello there mister, I need to get dressed for work" she padded towards the dressing table and sat down, reaching for her body lotion.
Kevin lifted himself off the bed slightly, supporting his head with his hand.
"I'm okay right here"
"Kevin, I'm serious" she huffed, squirting some lotion on her hand and smearing on her arms.
Kevin watched, his eyes following every movement,a certain area in his pants getting tight at the thoughts currently running through his mind...
Focus Kevin."What's the hurry love? Just put on something casual and we're good to go"
She stopped smearing the cream and frowned at him.
"Casual? Kevin I can't dress casual to work. There a reason there's something called dress code"
"Work? Who says you're going to work?"
"Kevin..I. "
"I took care of it. I told my dad you won't be able to make it to work today"
She was out of her chair in an instant.
"Why would you do that? Kevin I understand my boss is your father but you can't just pull strings like that. I've been working less than three months and I'm already absenting myself? I don't want your father or anyone to think I got this job because I'm associated with you Kevin. You didn't have to do that"
Kevin sighed
"I just wanted to take you out today, me you happy. After last night, I thought I would do something nice to cheer you up?" He sounded unsure.
"You don't need to cheer me up Kev, I'm fine"
Kevin closed the distance between them, cupping her face.
"Are you fine love? Are you really?" He asked softly searching her eyes.
She didn't answer, just looked down.
"I'll leave for you to get dressed" he planted a kiss to her forehead and walked out, shutting the door behind.***
Fifteen minutes later, there was a knock on the door.
"Come in" Virginia called out as she climbed into bed, a comb hanging from the ends of her hair.
Kevin strolled in with a tray of food.
She sniffed as he placed the tray on her lap, the chicken and curry she'd smelled earlier invading her nostrils once more..
"Hmm..smells delicious. You made breakfast?"
"Uhh...yeah I did" he bit his lip, turning red.
Adorable, Virginia thought, uncovering the food.
"Oh? What's this called?" She asked scooping a spoonful.
"Buttered rice and chicken Thai curry sauce"
"Hmm..sounds exotic.. I thought you didn't know how cook?"
"I don't. I just looked up the recipe from the internet."
She smiled gratefully.
"That's so thoughtful of you Kevin. It's adorable. Thank you." she pushed the spoonful into her mouth and chewed savouring the taste.
"For someone who doesn't know how cook, this tastes delicious" she opened her eyes to scoop another to find him staring at her.
