Yeonjun's POV

"Yeonjun!"

I turn my back to where I was called and saw our captain smiling at me while waving something.

[Captain is a term that I will use to refer to the head of an area like]

"What is it?" I asked as I approach him well washing my hands first.

"Well good news Yeonjun the Halsten University opened the full scholarship program in college and your school applied you and of course I am your supporter so I went to the school and gather all needed for the scholarship exam and I came here to give you the list of everything you need for the exam. And on saturday, I will pick you up and we will go the Halsten and you will have the shot to your dream college. What do you say?" Captain asked as I just stare at him dumbfounded.

"Are you serious? Like are you serious?" I asked as I just held back the threatening tears to fall. This is amazing and I can't explain what I am feeling right now. It's like my hopes to be successful is shining brighter.

Halsten University has been my dream school ever since I am a kid. I always want to study there in college. And now my hardwork has been paid off. It's worth it. After all those times I studied and get the highest marks, something finally happened.

"I..... I dont know what to say. Thank you. I will not disappoint you captain. Thank you" I hugged him as he pat my back inidcating me to get going.

The next day, i immediately completed all the requirements listed on the paper. Of course with the support I am getting from our small town I did not find it very hard to gather everything I need .

And today I am now going to Halsten to take my exam. Captain is going with me as he will drive me there. He really is very supportive to anyone.

"Eomma?" I went to my parent's room and found my mom awake.

"Are you going now?"she asked as I nod and held her hand feeling the bones that are almost piercing through her skin. She really got thinner as time passed.

"Are you sure you're fine with it mom? I mean I can always turn it down and stay with you" I said as I can see her already in tears.

"I know and I believe you will make it. We raised you to become the best you can be. To be successful. And Halsten is the key to attain your dream. I'm fine Jun-ah. Do your best. Promise me you'll get that scholarship?" she smiled weakly as I nod and wipe my tears.

"I'll take it eomma. And when I finish my school and have money, we can go to the beach like you dreamed. Also we might get you a proper treatmen, wait for it OK?" I said as she nod and initiate for a hug which i gave her.

"I'll be waiting baby. I know you'll make it" she said and kissed my forehead as I went to my dad who is talking to Captain.

"Jun-ah study well yeah? I know you will get it. I'll take care of mom okay?" dad said hugging me as me and Captain went off.

"I got your back kid" captain said as he pat my back.

"I'm already 19, how am i still a kid?" I said as we laugh and the car went off.

Throughout the ride, Captain talk to me as we laugh at his hilarious jokes. I am glad someone is calming my raging nerves. My palms are sweating and my heart is pounding.

"Relax. Think of this as one of those speeches you will deliver beautifully" Captain said as I nod and smiled.

Right. Let's do this.

After minutes of driving, we're finally here .......

Halsten University

Entering the huge gate makes me excited. After lots of talking and stop over from room to room, I am finally seated in a room with other students. Crap looking at their ID laces, some came from prestigous schools and I assume they're scholars of huge schools.
