Soobin

After fetching Yeonjun, me and Kai together went to the grand hall where the orientation will take place. It is also new to me since I will be here as a college student, not as a high school student I use to be. Now what I really like about orientation is that they allow ALL students to mix together. I mean merge so even if you're a high school student or a college student, just sit wherever you like. This  gives me the chance to talk with Kai as the orientation is going on.

The three of us sat on the place where we have the good view of everything on the stage. It is also the place where the sound is not so loud but not so soft. I sat as I call Yeonjun to sit with us. He sat beside me as Kai is on my other side still sulky over the fact that I might have a new baby and not him anymore. That just make him so cute.

But he's still my baby bro and nothing can change that. Oh dont tell him I said that. He would go all clingy and whiny.

"Why are they not starting yet? It's getting so noisy and hot" . Kai whined as he fanned himself with his hands.

"They're setting up" I answered and he pouts. As he does I heard a chuckle beside me making me turn my head as I saw Yeonjun smiling looking at Kai.

"What's funny?" I asked.

"Oh I'm sorry, I can't help it he's just I don't know , so cute and seem squishy" he said as I smiled. Great someone not only me see him as the  most squishy boy to ever exist.

People always see Kai as a 'hot' and 'handsome' human. He is indeed handsome but they just dont see his cute side. I'm glad Yeonjun does.

"Yeah, you're actually right. I mean only few people see it. They all see him as a hot individual." I answered as I saw Kai stare at us wanting to join in to.

I cant blame him for wanting so much attention. Ever since his issue with his dad he grew scared that if people will not talk to him they might as well leave him.

I gestured Yeonjun to start a talk with him as I want them to get along as well. Yeonjun is the type of person you'll feel comfortable even after days of meeting.

"So Kai, Soobin told me you're also a basketball captain" Yeonjun started making me smile.

"Ah yeah" after that answer the two kept talking about random things already. I join eventually but they have the most talk making me nod as the principal come out of the stage.

The orientation went too well I cannot actually say that the two even listen as they just talk like they're friends for years. Anyway, we part ways to OFFICIALLY start the school year.

"Wait for me during lunch time. We'll eat together with Kai. Wait me at your building entrance OK?" I said as he nod and he enter so I also went to my class.

I put my hands in my pocket as I felt something. Pulling it out, I smiled as I remember the time I was given this handkerchief by none other than Lee Yeonjun. He might forgot me but I won't. That day is the time I felt he and I will be good friends in the future. I placed the handkerchief back inside my pocket as I enter class.

Yeonjun

Well it's a nice start of school year to meet Soobin and Kai but as I enter the classroom, I realized I am alone. Soobin and Kai are not with me anymore and I felt left out as I scan the whole room. Everyone seem to know each other and get along well with each other. They all look rich and some are even boasting their new watches, cellphones, shoes and even bags. I sat beside the window remembering how fresh the air here as Soobin mentioned. Seconds pass and I can clearly feel stares from strangers making me look at them.

"So I never saw you before, transferee?" a girl asked as she played with her necklace that I bet costs millions of won.

"Yeah I am" I said as another girl join in.

"So I saw you and Soobin sat together at orientation. Are you two friends? Coz as far as I can recall, Soobin got only ONE friend which is the high school kid, Kai" she said as I look down.

But as I'm about to speak, a teacher appear and immediately spotted me. I think she can still remember me since I am the one who submitted the test papers for scholarship earlier than the others.

"O by the way class you have a new face. Mr. Lee can you introduce yourself?" she asked and I would be lying if I say I am not nervous.

"Uhm hi... I'm Lee Yeonjun and I am an academic scholar. . In the future I really want to be a doctor and - - - "

"What field is your family in?" my words are cut short when a girl interfere.

"Pardon?" I didn't quite get what she is trying to say.

"Um is your family in the business field, or in the medicine or law. OK what is your parents' work?" she asked as I swallow nervously.

"None of those actually. My parents both are farmers" I said as I look at them. Well I am proud of it and I am not ashamed.

A moment of silence enveloped the whole class. Taking it as my cue to sit down already. And as I did, the person that sat next to me a while ago immediately moved to another seat. Am I a virus or something?

The teacher didn't seem to mind and go on with what she is doing which is to discuss. And then that is when I notice the chairs in my left and right side, my back and front side are empty. Just a minute ago, they are talking to me and now, they are all avoiding me like Im some kind of virus that kill.

And honestly, it hurt me.

Soobin

I wonder how is Yeonjun doing right now. I mean he is still not used to this kind of environment.

OK so fast forward and now, I am waiting for a text from Kai to see if we will still push to go shopping. While waiting I decided to visit Yeonjun ....

He told me last time his schedule so I know his classes already ended. Walking down the hallway, I decided to wait for him in front of his locker. Maybe he will pass here to leave some things.

"Hey kid, do you know how I applaude you for not crying? The whole class disgust you and look down at you. Who would have thought Halsten accepts low class people?" I turn and saw Yeonjun being cornered by a few students laughing at him.

Damn it what on Earth?

"What?" I heard Yeonjun stutter.

"Do you not get it? I know you are used to bullying but here in Halsten, when you're bullied its like hell. And we are not bullying you, we are telling you your place" he said as I step in.

"And so am I." I said as they all look at me in shock as I am sure my face is hella scary.

"What right do you have to tell a person what his place is in a territory you don't even own? He's my Father's scholar in short, he has more money than you. Such a shame for people like you to be here. Hyung, come on, Kai is waiting" I grab his hands as we place his things in his locker and walk out the building.

"You OK?" I asked as I check on him to see him looking on the ground smiling as tears are threatening to fall from his eyes.

"Thank you. I really didn't expect it on my first day." he said as I just smiled.

"Don't worry, if they bother you again, call me. Oh Kai!" I shout at him and he approach us.

"Hyung, sleepover at your house? Taehyun is just going to bother me again. Oh Yeonjun hyung wanna join us? Sleepover?" Kai asked pleading for Yeonjun to say yes.

"Oh come on it will be fun" I said.

After a few more minutes of Kai whining and pleading, Yeonjun said yes and let me tell you I am now sensing that Kai likes to be around Yeonjun so much. Well that's good.
I'm glad he is finally loosening up.
