Noah's POV:
Today is the day of Judith's funeral. I've been in touch with Ellorie a lot lately. I think she feels really alone ever since she had a falling out with Venus. They both must feel lonely since they don't talk anymore. I hope after today they'll be able to put any issues behind them and move forward as strong sisters. They're so much better together than they are apart.
I'm not quite sure how Venus will react when she sees me at the funeral, but Ellorie wants me to be there, and I want to be there. I can't let her down too. I planned on buying a plane ticket after the funeral so I can say my goodbyes to Ellorie and hopefully Venus.
My phone buzzed to snap me out of my thoughts. It was Ellorie.
From: Ellorie
Can't wait to see you today. I wish it was better circumstances but I'm grateful to have you here. Wish you didn't have to leave. She really is a sweetheart. I don't think she can fully wrap her mind around the fact that her mom is gone so she's taking all of this really hard.
Being separated from her sister the morning after her mom died was heart wrenching for her. I can understand why she felt so alone. I would too.
She told me all about her foster family. She says they're nice but they treat her like charity. I wish there were a way for her to stay at the hotel with me so she didn't have to be with people she hardly knows. At least she'd feel safer and more comfortable, but there's nothing I can do.

*I finished getting ready. I went shopping yesterday and found myself a nice blazer to wear over a white shirt with nice, dark colored jeans. I put on my white converse and ordered up my Uber.

*When I got to the funeral home, there were a few cars here already for the visitation hours, but I went inside anyways where I found Ellorie smiling at me, happy to see me.
She ran to hug me and I hugged her back gently. She's a lot smaller than I am, and short too, so the height difference between us was significant.
"I'm so glad you came." She said, sounding sad. I could tell she had been crying.
We both pulled away from the hug and she grabbed my hand to walk me inside the room where the funeral would be taking place. They got a beautiful urn for their mother's ashes and there were flowers and plants all over.
Ellorie wanted to show me all the pictures they had collected for the funeral and told me all about them. She loved her mom so much, I could hear it in the way she talks about her. Her eyes light up whenever she says the word 'mom'.
"I should probably go back to the lobby to greet people and talk when they come in, but I'll see you soon, okay?" She smiled at me.
It's so good to see her smile even though I know she's really hurting inside.
