Skye's POV
I woke up tied to a tree. My head was pounding and I was sore. I peeked my eyes open to realize that there where other young women all tied to trees in a circle. I spotted Skyler tied to the opposite side of the circle from me. She too was just waking up.
"Skyler" I yelled. Her eyes shot open and connected to mine.
"Today starts your training young witches" an elder lady said. "Begin with the ropes"
"How" I heard a blonde girl ask. I was wondering the same thing. I could fill the heat again so I just tried to concentrate on it.
"No Skye use your earth power otherwise you will burn the whole forest down." The elder lady said looking at me with black eyes.
"I don't know how" I replied.
"Feel the ground smell it and pull on the essence of it" she replied
I concentrated on the ground the earth beneath me. I could smell the dirt. I started to feel the heat disappear and being replaced with cool warmth. Now how was I supposed to use dirt to break these ropes. Think Skye think I thought to myself. A sharp rock I needed to find a sharp rock. I looked around but couldn't see any. I looked over at Skyler and she was already loose and stretching. Dammit I thought most of the girls where already loose. Wait what if I use both fire and earth to make something sharp. I pulled on both fire and earth and felt the ground heating up I used the earth to make a knife shape or at least that's the way I saw it in my head. I wanted the ropes off. I need them off now. I looked at the elder lady who was staring at me with a look of shock. I felt the ropes fall off and I was finally released. I wonder how I did that I thought.
"Have you trained before?" The elder lady asked.
"No we just found out we where part Witch, part Werewolf" Skyler replied.
I just sat there rubbing my wrist, watching the lady who looked confused.
"Both of you need to come with me. The rest of you need to walk a mile to the east where your training will begin." she said and started off walking west.
We followed her neither of us talking. We where both lost in our own thoughts. Did Mark and Grace know about this. Is that why they wanted to talk to us to warn us. I don't know but I plan on finding out.
After about a thirty minute walk we came to a small village. There where several men and women there. They all looked at us with curious glances. "Wonder where we are" I whispered to Skyler who was looking around. "I don't know, but I feel safe ya know?" She replied. "Its weird" I replied as we stopped in front of a big house. "Stay here" the elder lady said as she opened the door and walked in. We took a seat on the steps. We just looked around at our surroundings this place felt like home and neither of us could ever understand why when we have never been here.
We sat out there for about ten minutes before the elder lady came back out and ushered us into the house. We went to the living room where a group of people sat. Some looked shocked other intrigued.
"Who is your mother?" Another elder lady asked. "Lilith Black" we replied in unison. Gasps filled the room. They all gathered in a circle and began with a hushed whispering. That took another ten minutes.
"Lilith was murdered fifteen years ago, she had no children" an elder man said.
"Yeah we know, the lady that raised us was Lily Morgan our Aunt." Skyler said. "And obviously Lilith had children otherwise how are we standing here now." I added.
Another round of gasps filled the room. And again the hushed whisperings began for another ten minutes before I started getting annoyed.
"Enough" I finally yelled "Tell us what is going on?" I demanded
The hush that came over the room was deafening. One elder lady ran out of the house like I had just set it on fire. We all just stared at each other. We needed answers and needed them now.
Brett's POV
This having to wait for Skyler to return from train was going to drive me insane. I have been working out and doing border patrols for a week now. I don't know if I can take anymore of this. I was pacing in the kitchen when mom came in.
"Stop worrying son. She will be fine. All witches have to go through training so we don't accidentally kill some one." she said
"Its killing me not knowing if she's hurt or worse." I practically whined. She just shook her head and walked off.
I couldn't help it. It was worse for me than Jaxon. I had marked Skyler before they kidnapped her. I don't know how much longer I can take being separated from her. I grabbed a bottle of water and went back out to patrol. This was going to be a very long few weeks.
Sorry it took me awhile to update. I had to work out this chapter in my head. Hope you enjoy.
