The Prey

Chapter 11

                                                    Grace's POV

    I walked the oracle outside to her car. "Are you sure they are the ones? I asked her one last time.

  "Yes they are" she replied. "But heed my warning we will all die if they don't succeed. I am sending various witches to train them. Other than the powers that have awoken after three thousand years we don't know their other powers. You need to let them join your pack as soon as possible. They will be taken and that will insure you can find them. If Jaxon does not accept his fate Skye will die. If either of the girls die our world as we know it will be no more. If Meredith gets their powers we will be thrown into complete chaos" she said turning to get into her car.

   "Thank you oracle" I said bowing my head in respect. I watched her with my husband drive away. "We must take them to the pack as soon as possible" he said and walked into the house.

  I know Jaxon he is as stubborn as they come I hope as his mother he can pull his head out of his ass soon. For the sake of us all.

                                         Skye's POV

       I finally started to head back when Amber popped out in front of me. God I wish this twit would leave me alone. "What do you want now" I asked

   "You will never be the Luna. Jaxon is mine and always will be" she replied

   "And your point being?" I asked in a bored tone.

   "Leave him be you virgin bitch" she yelled

   "I really hope you wake up one day with no hair and warts" I smiled at her and continued to the house. That girl is a twatwaffle I thought to myself. Going up to my room I got stopped by Mark and Grace. Skyler was with them.

  "Oh good, Skye as we where explaining to Skyler we would like you both to join our pack. It will help insure both of ya'lls safety because then if you get into trouble you will be able to mind link the pack." he said

   I looked at Skyler and she shook her head yes. I shrugged my shoulders and replied "Sure" I mean if we are in as much danger as that oracle woman said I'm not against extra protection.

  "Great we leave tomorrow early in the morning. One more thing" he said looking nervous. "You will have to undergo the trails of being let into the pack. All new member's must go through it." he said.

  "What kinda trials?" I asked. 

  "You will have to fight three different member's of the pack no killing. If you beat them all fair and square you will prove to be worthy enough to be pack member's." Grace replied. 

  "Oh well that's not so bad" I said and left to go to my room to pack some clothes. I have been writing all the puzzle pieces down to this mystery but I still can figure out why that Meredith woman wants us dead. I need to add what the oracle wrote. I wonder what she meant by Magic Room. We have to find it. I guess I will worry about that later. I went to shower and get ready for bed. I climbed into my soft comfy silk sheets and blanket and feel into a deep sleep.

    The wind was blowing hard and it didn't help that it was freezing outside the window I was looking into. I could see a woman with long black hair and pale blue eyes with a tan pacing around a room. "I want them found" She yelled. "I want them brought here so I can kill them and take their powers." The air left my lungs for a minute when I realized this was the woman who wanted us dead. She looked right at me with a sinister smile. "I will find you and you will die little witch" I felt pain searing through my body. I was screaming it felt like my body was being torn apart. Its just a bad dream I kept thinking but I couldn't get the pain to go away. I felt my body heat up and watched as flames left my hand and raced to her. "Ahh the little witch wants to play" she said. "Soon enough little girl" And I was thrown back into my bed. I sat up a scream leaving my mouth to see Skyler, Brett and Jaxon all looking at me. 

    Skyler pulled me into a hug and wiped away tears I never even noticed as I told them what happened. "She wont get you" Skyler said. I got up from the bed only to fall but Jaxon stopped me. I winced in pain and he look at me with a frown. He set me back on my feet and I lifted my shirt to find my entire rib cage was black and blue. He picked me up and told Skyler to follow him as he went into the bathroom. He started making me a bubble bath. I looked at Skyler in confusion. Why was he being so nice I thought. 

   "Make sure she soaks those ribs. I need to go talk to Brett and my parents." he said as he closed the door.

   "Ok who is he and where did the mean Jaxon go" I whimpered as my sister helped me strip and get into the tub of perfectly hot water.

   "I don't know, but I like nice Jaxon better" she smiled. She left me to soak in the tub. All I could think about though was the way that woman looked right at me. Was it all just a dream or did I somehow step into her world. I don't want that to happen again. When the water started to get cold I got out of the tub. I put the pjs on that Skyler left me and opened the bathroom door to find Jaxon sitting on my bed with bandages.

   "We need to wrap your ribs so they will heal." he said with a smile. What the hell am I still dreaming. He walked over to me and lifted my shirt. My wolf was purring in my head at his touch. I looked into his eyes to see them pitch black and my wolf started sending me pictures in my head of a very naked Jaxon. My face felt like it was on fire. I know I was as red as a tomato. I tried to look away but he only chuckled. After he carefully wrapped my ribs he helped me into bed.

   "Thank you" I whispered. Then to my utter disbelief he crawled into bed with me. "What the hell Jaxon why are you climbing into my bed?"

   "We are mates Skye. You will heal quicker if I am in the bed with you." he replied. "You have to go through the trials tomorrow you wont last one round with your ribs the way they are. That's why I went to talk to my parents." he replied as he rolled over facing away from me. Well at least we don't have to touch I thought as sleep came upon me.
