Skye's POV
The cave was dark and cold i could feel someone or something watching us as we pushed past the cobwebs. I currently have a ball of flames in my palm to serve as a light. I was beginning to feel claustrophobic due to the small space. I felt a hand run down my hair and jumped while twirling around. There was nothing there. My heart was racing I was scared and all I could do was continue walking forward praying we wouldn't die in this god forsaken cave. It has a lot of twist and turns I think we got lost over an hour ago. If we don't find those blasted dragons soon I fear I may lose my mind.
"We have got to stop and regroup. This is ridiculous we are lost we need to figure something out" I almost yell at my siblings. I can feel the sweat from my now starting panic attach forming on my forehead. I really don't do well in small spaces. My breathing is getting harsher and I feel like I am about to pass out. I start getting dizzy and I sit with my back on the wall of the tunnel. Skyler comes to sit down next to me while I have my head between my knees trying to breath. Thats when I hear a small whistling noise. "Do you guys hear that?" I ask.
"Yes I do" Jackson replies and stands up. "Lets follow it maybe the dragons are helping us out"
"Or its a ghost that wants us to follow it to our deaths" I reply sarcastically. "Its not like they havent been bugging the shit out of us this whole time"
"Come on" he replied while shrugging his broad shoulders. We got up and followed him. We turned left then went straight for thirty minutes then turned right for the rest until we finally saw light. Oh thank you God. I said as we followed it. Something was different, off somehow. We stepped through the light and time seemed to stop in some weird way.
"Welcome my children" the dragons said. "We have much to teach you rest for a moment and we shall begin."
Jaxon's POV
Its been four months since the girls left. I cant feel Skye through the bond. Its like she just disappeared. Brett said the same thing about Skyler. Our wolves where going nuts for the first month. But they figured out that they are not dead just not here in our world. I really don't know how to explain that, its very strange. We have been training hard as we have brought Caleb back to our pack. We haven't seen Jasmine since she left him out in the field by the woods. We have been searching for her but we cant find her.
"Alpha we need you at the northwest border" I hear through the pack link while sparing with Sam my Delta. We have been trying to keep the girls away from pack members to not overwhelm them but everyone is anxious to meet there future Luna and future Beta female. Now we cant even do the ceremony to introduce them to the pack. We can all feel something bad fixen to happen and we don't know what it is.
All the sudden lightning flashed across the sky followed by a horribly loud clap of thunder then it started raining. I went to wipe off the water from my face and when I pulled my hand away I realized it was blood. "Everyone inside now, meet at the meeting hall" I yelled through the pack link. Another clap of thunder blasted our eardrums. We where running to the meeting hall when I was suddenly frozen to my spot, looking around I noticed everyone was and suddenly all I could smell was fear. Lightning flashed across the sky once more followed by a woman's laughter.
"Ahh its nice to see that you will all bow down to me" the voice said. Suddenly I'm fighting the urge to bow down to the mystery voice. I watch as all my pack members start to fall to the ground bowing. The only ones left standing where the higher ranks.
The mystery lady laughs as blood fills the fields. "We will never bow to you Witch" I hear my mother scream. "Stop with your petty deeds and show yourself" she demanded
More laughter followed by thunder and lightening spread across the sky. Suddenly it all stops.
"Well well well looks like Grace finally grew some balls" Meredith said coming out of the woods. "Where are the twin shits" she asked. I felt rage like no other fill me. "Give me the little shits Gracey and I might let you be a personal slave when I fill this world with darkness" Meredith coo'd at my mother.
"Fuck off you stupid witch bitch" My mother spat at her. I was shocked at my mothers words she has never cussed so much. My chest filled with pride at my mother for standing up for my mate. Suddenly I was yanked forward, I noticed Amber move from behind her mother with a smirk on her face. Brett too was brought forward by the unknown force. "Mom I want you to brainwash Jaxon and make him believe he is my mate" Amber said standing there with a smirk I wanted to ripe off her face. How the hell did I date her for three years I thought to myself.
Suddenly our territory was filled with rouges hundreds of them. "Of course my darling. You need a strong mate to take over when I die." Meredith said.
"I would rather die than mate with a power hungry whore like Amber" I stated. Anger flashed in Amber's and Meredith's eyes. I suddenly felt a wave of heat surge through my body. I held back a yell because I would be damned if I gave them the satisfaction of knowing it hurt. I felt something prodding around in my head. I began to panic feeling a weird sensation in my body and mind. Black dots started flooding my vision when suddenly a white out blizzard started and a wind so fierce it knocked trees over hit Meredith and Amber sending them flying and me catching my breath. I look to the west to see my beautiful mate Skyler and Jackson. Skye and Skyler where holding hands and began to fly into the sky. Fire erupted towards Meredith and Amber. My mate and her sister didn't seem to notice anything. Jackson ran towards us. "Get everyone to safety." he said.
"We're not leaving our mates" Brett and I say.
"You don't have to just help me get your pack safe, I will fill you in on the past four years while I try to keep my sisters safe." he said.
"Jackson its only been four months since ya'll left" Brett says while we look confused.
"Everyone please get to the safe houses now the war is upon us" I say through the pack link.
Sorry for the long wait. The book is almost finished now the end is near. I really appreciate all of my readers. I will be working on another book after I finish this one.
