I looked him in the eyes, and I took a deep breath.
"I was crying because... Of my mom..."
WTF! I slapped myself mentally. I'm a coward. I wanted to tell him that I like him.
I broke the eye contact.
"Because of your mom?"
"Yes, she died when I was 6 and I woke up today thinking about her..."
"Oh, Summer..."
He gave me a hug.
"It's okay, if you want to talk about her with me." He said.
I gave him a smile and I was going to talk about my mom when I heard my name.
"Summer! Jack!"
We both looked back and saw the boys.
"Zach!"
I got up, Zach ran to me and gave me a tight hug, which made us fall into the sand.
Zach's like a younger brother to me.
We were all laughing except Jack. He had a face, from what I could see, of... jealousy? But why?
