It was 7:53 when Tyler got into bed Sunday night. He had just finished brushing his teeth and washing his face and still technically has seven minutes to kill before his mother came in to make sure he was about to go to bed.

Although the sixteen year old had only spent the day going to church and reading, he was still relatively tired. When Joshua came to watch him on Saturday he went to bed at eight like expected. He was already going behind his mother's back with too many other things.

Since he had time to spare, he got his phone out and opened Snapchat. He still didn't really know how to use it, and he hated taking pictures of himself, but Joshua showed him how the chat worked so that was easy enough for him.

He only had Joshua added on there because Joshua was really his only true friend (he didn't even know if Ryan had Snapchat and only talked to him at lunch or in class, with the occasional text about homework) so when he saw the blue dot signaling that Joshua had sent him something, he got excited.

He swiped over and saw the blue message icon next to Joshua's little... avatar thing? Tyler didn't know what it was and he didn't care to. He was just ecstatic to be talking to Joshua outside of "baby sitting".

Clicking on the message, he held his breath.

Tyler saw the time was 7:59 so he set his phone face down on his nightstand before turning his lamp off and sliding under the covers.

Exactly a moment later, his door opened and his mother walked in. "Get to bed," she told him.

"I will," Tyler nodded. He hesitated. "Goodnight, Mother."

"Goodnight," she replied before shutting the door and the sound of footsteps walking away was heard.

Although Tyler was tired, he flipped over so he was on his back and staring at the ceiling. He couldn't stop thinking about Joshua and how cute he was with his glasses and his curly hair and his strong build. Especially how he made Tyler feel when he kissed him.
