A prison of pain
With walls made of shame
Wardened by fear
Of an end that's always near
Life is not an easy game
You don't even own your name
Others use it just the same
Suffer well or don't
They want you to get help
But they themselves won't
We're all in here for life
The cells are witness to our strife
Some of us less than others
Stepping on ladders of corpses
Riding to the sunset on iron horses
Without a care in the world
Are they even bound to suffer and burn ?
There's no heaven or hell
Or if there is we cannot tell
You can be poor or rich
You might believe karma's a bitch
But it ain't
When your pulse is faint
And you get closer to the end
You may find the limits bend
Or you may find nothing at all
We'll never know the answer
Until we take the final call
Everything you know is dust
From long dead and lightless stars
Carried by a solar wind gust
We're lost in forever
But we'll never remember
How we came to be
And where do we go
We're yet to see
And we will never truly know
