Happiness is overrated
My brain oversaturated
Anxiety exacerbated
And life dilapidated
When every day becomes a chore
Each time you sleep

But maybe it will change

How easy it is to deceive

As you move forward death comes closer
Ever so slowly entropy takes over
But can you hear the thunder
The storm that's building up
The drop that spilled the cup
Our flawed vision and progression
Will not lead us to salvation
For there is none for the likes of us
We swing the end of all with full force
Overtaken by an ever consuming curse
Our greed and lust and gluttony
Annihilation's symphony
Has charmed us into apathy
Carried away by material things
Stomping necks and crushing dreams
United within corporations
And other nightmarish amalgamations
We sack out health
So others can build wealth
Waiting for a reckoning day that never comes
We used to be the apex of our chain
But lack of vision broke our reign
Our legacy is ecological damnation
As all we sought was domination
We wanted to rule the land the sea and the sky
And doomed everything to die
Now we see our demons staring at us
And we all blame each other
There's no one you can trust
Everything you know is a lie
