I've known so many secrets that were not even mine
I felt my sanity fading away and I never wondered why
I touched the deepest darkest sense of space and time
I witnessed as the truth became a lie.
I heard the symphonies of gray
I gazed upon the sounds
I tasted madness and dismay
Broke free from the bonds
Beyond life there's more than death
You'll see it on your last breath
The reaper comes for us all
But I have struck a bargain
I've given up on a resting place
I have given up on wearing a face
I will be forever a ghost of the fall
Beyond space and time
The secrets of the universe are mine
I shall seek and know it all
For there may yet still be a way
If not forever I will stay
There is still so much to find
Knowledge yet beyond my mind
The very fabric of reality
I wish to have dissected
Or does it imply insanity ?
How is it all connected ?
Many more questions frozen in time
But all of the answers shall be mine
For this is all I have now
Knowledge is my only vow
