It's been awhile... This would've been up sooner but my internet was being a butt

~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The back of my neck was killing me.
Every time I moved, pain shot sharply through my neck, and the itchy bandage wrapped out the deep bite wasn't helping. Because the puncture wounds from the bite were caused by another werewolf, it was going to take a lot longer to heal.
After I'd been arrested, the man and woman who'd accompanied the Alpha had grabbed me by either arm. As I was hauled to my feet, the Alpha told me that if I started to shift, I was going to instantly be dead. I'd tried not to snort.
This wasn't the first time I'd been arrested. When I was thirteen, and just starting my life as a rogue, I'd stumbled upon the territory behind a pack house. I was terrified, and when they'd told me that I could join their pack, I'd almost said yes. However, I'd had my reasons for becoming a rogue, so I'd gone with the option of leaving their territory and not going back.
This time wouldn't be any different. I'd pretend to listen to what the Alpha said, and then I'd stick around for a couple days and take advantage of the shelter and free food. Then, after taking as much as I could carry, I'd leave. It was a way of life for me.
I was just starting to doze off when I heard the sound of the heavy cell door click, signaling that it had been unlocked. Then, the light snapped on and I moaned as I was flooded with the harsh glare. After my squinted eyes got semi-used to the light of the cell, I watched, still lying down, as somebody stepped into my room.
It was the goalie from the soccer game, and she looked pissed.
And stunning.
Her light blond hair was falling out of her ponytail and she was wearing a ratty sweatshirt and a pair of flannel pants. Despite the unkempt look, the girl was gorgeous.
"Damn, you're pretty," I said, absentmindedly putting my thoughts into words.
She snorted and rolled her eyes. "Damn, you're arrogant." I smirked. This girl had bite, and the way she looked at me with slight disdain was actually pretty sexy.
"I like girls with sass," I replied, and I started to feel that same strange attraction to the girl again. "My name's Eli. What's yours, babe?"
Her face completely changed. "Oh my gawd!" she squealed, clasping her hands together. "He likes me! Oh my gawd, okay my name's Stacey!" The sarcasm was dripping from every word that she said, and then the girl scowled, her real name still unknown. "Listen up Rogue, because I'm only gonna say this once."
With my interest suddenly piqued, I sat up and laced my fingers in my lap. With a faux serious look, I said, "This situation suddenly got very serious."
Her dark eyes narrowed as her arms crossed over her chest. "Someone wants to ask you to join this pack, and I can't let that happen. You've got to say no."
"What if I don't want to?" I retorted, and I watched as the girl's face went blank. Apparently, she hadn't considered this possibility.
"Do you want to be a part of this pack?" the girl asked, her voice less confident than before.
"Nope," I replied, amused at the look of relief on her face. I swung my legs back over onto the bed and settled back into my original, comfortable position. "Sorry to break it to you, gorgeous, but I'm not interested in becoming a part of your shitty pack."
"How dare you!" the girl screeched, and I felt an unfamiliar pang of guilt in the pit of my stomach. Maybe I'd taken a step too far. As soon as that thought crossed my mind, the girl did the same thing.
