Sometimes, I think about how much time I've wasted on Jersey Shore... Then I think, "Meh, what's a few more months?
Excuse the mistakes

"Eli!"
My body jerked as my eyes shot wide open, and I found myself looking up into the very pissed off face of Rhett. "Can I help you?" I asked, resisting the urge to yawn in his face.
"No," Rhett snapped, "you can get your ass out of this break room and finish restocking your shelves. I'm closing in ten minutes, and if you're not done, you're not getting paid."
"That's not fair!" I yelled, forcing myself into a sitting position. Immediately, my back felt sore, since I'd decided to take a nap on a particularly hardwood bench.
"I don't give a crap about fair," Rhett replied coolly. "Bo told me to give you this job so that
I could keep an eye on you. You're lucky I'm paying you in the first place." He gave me a sharp look at then thrust his hand towards the door. "Go finish restocking."
I glared at him as I stood up and grabbed a nearby cardboard box. I stalked out of the break room, where I'd been enjoying a short snooze, and I returned to the metal cart stacked with brown boxes I had to unload. In all honesty, it wasn't a lot, and I'm sure I could get everything done in ten minutes.
See, now when I was told I could live in the pack house, I thought I would just be hanging around all day. I didn't need training, obviously. However, after my weird encounter with Dot this morning, I'd been summoned to Bo's office.
Rhett, who'd been the man who'd brought me from my cell the first time, had been waiting with him. It was then that I'd been told I was being put to work. At first, I was annoyed, but then I remembered about my debt with Kane. The more money I made, the sooner I could pay it off. Also, all of the mindless work gave me time to think about what I was going to do.
I was still clueless.
I hurriedly ripped open the cardboard boxes and started to unload all of the hardware products. Thankfully, there weren't any customers in the store, which meant I could go as fast as my werewolf abilities would let me. That's how I managed to finish my work with two minutes to spare.
After dumping all of the boxes in the recycling, I walked into the front of the store to find Rhett counting money from the register and putting it in this big purple pouch. "Done?" he asked without looking up once.
"Yes sir," I answered, giving him a mock salute.
"Did you get your things?"
"What things?" I replied, "All I have are the things your wonderful pack mates have bestowed upon me."
Rhett chuckled at my sarcasm and closed the register with a metallic clang. Then, he locked it quickly with a swift turn of the brass key. "Let's go," Rhett said, glancing at me, and I followed him as shut off the lights in the store and then walked out of the front glass doors. Just as he was locking the door, I heard the sound of one of those extremely obnoxious iPhone ringtones.
Sure enough, Rhett pulled his phone out of his back pocket and raised it to his ear. "Hello? Sure, how much longer? Oh, alright, then I'll just head over now and find you guys in the stands. Yeah, okay, bye."
I raised an eyebrow at Rhett and his one sided conversation and asked, "What was that about?"
"I've got to pick Jaime and Adam up from Dot's soccer game," Rhett said as we both climbed into his jeep wrangler that was parked at the curb. "There's only about ten minutes left, so I'm going to head over to the school now."
