||3RD POV||

She was walking through a building that she grew to despise through the past decade, her figure was covered with a doctor's lab coat that small unnoticeable red splatters at the hem of it. The top of her face was covered with a mask that resembled a vintage bunny mask, her hair was a slightly darker shade and her eyes were covered by a thin layer of metal that was on the holes for the eyes. Underneath the coat was a black tight button-up blouse and a crimson-colored skirt that stopped at the beginning of her knees. Her legs were covered with stockings and her feet were adored by heels. In her hand was a file that had foreign words stamped on it in red and small pieces of paper stuck out of it.

Her heels were clicking against the sidewalk and her crimson lips were in a thin line as she arrived at her destination. She stopped in front of the gate and raised her knuckles to knock against it but before she could, it opened and two men dressed in suits greeted her with a slight bow of their heads. She returns the gesture and followed behind them, she heard how the gate closed behind her and tried not to show that her instincts were telling her to run away far from this place. The two men opened the front door of the Japanese styled home and she silently thanked them before taking off her shoes but paused when a voice stated from in front of her slightly bent figure, "No need to take your shoes off, άδης."

Slowly, she looks up and saw the familiar male with his black surgical mask on his face, his golden orbs stared at her exposed lower face and he folded his arms over his chest. His attire was a black button-up shirt with a grey tie and black trousers along with black shoes. Softly, she gulped as she sends him a crooked smile while putting on her heels as she excused herself for her actions, "My apologies, Overhaul. It has become a habit from over the years." He hummed as an answer but his eyes never left her face that he never saw once in the past months that he found her to help with his experiment. His eyes trailed over her curves as she walked towards him and looked at her neck that faint marks that seemed to stir something inside his mind.

"Lead the way, as usual," She spoke as her lips were in a thin line and he nods before they both walked down the halls to the lower level of the house. 'It seems that he's irritated by something,' She noticed how his gloved fingers were twitching now, and then, she grew anxious about his actions, knowing that he could be a danger to her and the experiment that she grew to knew. Suddenly, he paused in his steps and grabbed her by her shoulders, surprising her. She slightly choked when her back hit the wall and the sound of the papers being scattered filled the silent hallways. "Wha-" Her words were cut short as his own interrupted her and her blood ran cold when she saw how dark his eyes were, "Explain those marks on your skin."

He felt her tremble slightly but his eyes widen when he heard her words that made the halls' temperature drop drastically, "None of your damn business." She shoved his hands off of her and picked up the scattered papers before continuing to walk down the halls as she added, "We need to go." His eyes watched how her figure was wobbling slightly yet moved forward, refusing to give in to the exhaustion that she might feel from the all-nighters she spent for the last month. Silently, he followed her and caught up in seconds but neither of them spoke. Finally, they stopped at a locked room and she opened it, the door creaked loudly as the light from the hallway peered into the pitch-black room.

He watched how she walked into the room and closed the door behind her, he listened to the hushed conversation she had with the experiment inside of the room. Patiently, he waited for her to finish and started to think of scenarios of how her face looked underneath the mask. Meanwhile, the masked female was tending to the girl who was dressed in rags and bandages, her dead eyes watched how gentle she was being and asked meekly, "Why are you nice to me?" She paused her motions before continuing as she answered her in a hushed tone, "Because everyone deserves kindness, nothing less than a child as yourself." The girl was silent as she finished tending her wounds and watched how she got up.

She flinched when her slender fingers softly rubbed the top of her head before walking to the door, she waves at her before opening the door. Her crimson eyes gleamed over when she saw the outline of the female, she reminded her of a fairytale she read. The maiden closed the door behind her as she stepped into the hallway, softly, she released a tired sigh as she clutches the file to her chest. Instantly, she froze up when she felt his drilling stares at the side of her head. As she turned to look at him, her eyes widen when she was met with bright light as a quiet thud was heard on the ground. Cold air blew over her exposed face as her fearful eyes glanced at the fallen mask on the floor, Overhaul's gloved hand was in front of her face which made her shiver.

His golden eyes were staring into her own as he gripped her face between his gloved fingers. Tension rose as neither of them spoke a word, until, his voice rang through her ears as she saw him lean closer to her face, "Hmm... So this is what άδης looks like underneath the mask..." Harshly, she pulled her face out of his hold and stepped back a couple of times. Her eyes were a dark shade of gold as she seethed through her canines, "Never touch me again." His hand was back to his side as he watched her pick up her mask from the floor and place it on again with ease. Gently, she bumped the file against her shoulder as she spoke while looking at him over her shoulder before walking away, "Contact me when there's trouble with the experiment, Overhaul. I'm a busy person, after all."

As she disappeared from his perspective, he pulled at his tie as his other hand was covering his eyes as his cheeks grew slightly hot. He knew from the moment that her eyes met his own, he was gone. He didn't expect a pretty face to be one of the most dangerous Yakuza bosses in the country but what made him more flustered was the color of her eyes; it reminded him of the sunset touching the ocean as it started to grow evening. "Goddamnit," He groaned out as he calmed his temperature down before walking away with annoyed eyes that seemed to flicker over his shoulder to where she disappeared to, underneath his mask was a scowl as he murmured, "I don't need her anyway..."

Maybe it was because she looked unreal, who knows...
