LETTER [PART26]

One week later...

I was just outside Izuku's house, debating if I should knock or not. I huff out of annoyance and knock my knuckles against the front door softly.

I didn't get a response for awhile and was just about to walk away but the door swung open.

There stood a short lady with long green hair and she looks at me with the same color eyes, I smile and turn towards her.

"Sorry to bother you, Ms. Midoriya. Is Izuku home at the moment?" I ask her while rubbing the back of my neck out of habit.

She gives a slow nod and shouts over her shoulder in a stuttering tone, "I-izuku! So-omeone i-is at the door for you!"

As she said that, footsteps came tumbling down the stairs in a hurried manner.

A familiar dark green tuff of hair emerge from the corner and he stares at me with surprise and happiness while exclaiming, "Aya! You're here!"

He heads in our direction and stood behind his mother with a huge grin plastered on his lips.

I laugh a little and take a letter out from my jean pocket, "I have something of yours, Izuku Midoriya."

I state with a small grin as i held the letter out to him, both green heads were agaped and Izuku shakily took the letter from my grasp.

He stares at it with anxiety while shaking just a little, his mother was also shaking but out of worry.

I bow a bit and excused myself, I turn around and stepped onto the pavement walkway.

But my wrist was caught in a hand, causing me to rapidly stop and look over my shoulder with a raised brow.

Izuku was the one who held onto my wrist and said with a slightly shaky voice, "Please, stay with me as I see the results... Please, Aya, for me..."

My eyes softened as he slowly lets go of my wrist and looked at me with glossy eyes which was filled with hope and sadness.

I sigh while turning around and slowly wrapping my fingers between his.

I smile at him and say in a sweet and soft voice, "Of coarse I will, Izuku. I'll do anything for you and your future."

He smiles at me and looks at his mother with bright eyes, "Mom, this is Aya Kurosawa, a friend of mine." He introduced me to his mother with me in tow.

I was smiling the entire time and his mother did the same, and somehow we ended up in the kitchen conversing while Izuku went to his room to open his letter.

"Hey, Aya-san. What do you do for a living? Like for your job as an example." Asked Inko as she takes a sip from her cup of tea, I chuckle and lean back into the chair with a smirk.

"Well," I started to say, "I actually have 3 jobs at the moment." She chokes a little from shock and I stare at her with curiosity, "You all right, Inko?"

She waves her hand as an 'okay' while she composes herself from her sudden coughing fit.

"My first job is actually being the secretary at the Wu Company, the second one is me being a waitress at the new cafe; 'Baristas'. The third is being a bartender at 'Secret Sage Bar'."

I say while staring down into my own cup of tea which she made for me. She smiles a bit and said, "That's a lot of tough jobs for someone your age."

I look at her with amused eyes and snorted loudly as I started laughing, causing her to look at me in confusion.

I wipe a tear from my eyes and gaze at her with a smile, "I'm actually not that young, Inko. I actually turned 28 a few months ago and have a few kids of my own."

She hums in understanding and we sat in a comfortable silence, but it was soon interrupted by Izuku who came rushing downstairs.

Inko and I stare at him with worried eyes but it disappeared when he exclaimed as tears spilled from his dark green eyes as he exclaimed, "I GOT IN!! I GOT INTO U.A.!!!"

Inko shot up from her chair and hugged him while tears of joy and relief running down her cheeks, I smiled and slowly got up from my chair and placed the empty tea cup in the sink.

I turn to Izuku and said with a soft smile on my face, "See? I told you, you could do it."

"Thank you! Thank you so much!" Cried Izuku as he releases his mother and pulled me into a tight hug. I wrap my arms around his torso and rubbed his back in small soothing circles, after that, I said my farewells and headed home.
