Ever since I got my phone taken away, I have been getting a lot more sleep and have woken up in a better mood. I also get up at 5am with no problem. But, there have been a few days I wake up and I am not in the greatest mood. The point being, that electronics have become slightly less essential to my day and my morning routine since I got my phone taken away. So, I have refined my morning routine to be a little more productive since I no longer have a little device to distract me.
-Wake up sometime between 5am and 6am: My body's internal clock has been waking me up early without an alarm clock. I get up early for 0 period P.E but on day's that I don't have to be at 0 period, I get up around 6.
-I always go to the bathroom as part of the first things to do. I brush my teeth, wash my face, and put on deodorant. If I didn't shower the night before, I will shower before I wash my face and brush my teeth. Always have to be clean :) I will also style my hair at this time. I never really style it because I like it down, but I always brush it out and leave it natural.
-Next I go back to my room to get dressed for the day. I usually have an idea of what I am looking for to wear when I am getting dressed. Depending on how comfy I want to be, I will either wear closed toed shoes or sandles. It also depends on how formal or casual my outfit is.
-I grab my sweater and a scrunchie for my wrist and sometimes a necklace. Some days I have to grab a little more because I took something out of my backpack or I need something for that day for school.
-I go downstairs and either make breakfast or I will drink my Premier Protein drink because it fills me up enough until lunch time. I also will make sure to fill my water bottle up with water because I don't want to be dehydrated. Also, the doctor ordered me to drink 2 big water bottle sizes of water a day because of my headaches and to make sure I am always healthy.
-Depending on how long it took me to get ready, that will determine if I get to chill and watch a little tv or if I have to leave right away. Most days I always finish with 10 minutes to spare but some days I am running a little behind. Sometimes, I have a half hour before I have to go. As simple as my morning routine is, I do dilly dally a lot at times and other days I am focused.
This is what I do for my Sophomore year to prepare to be out of the house on time or to go to the school. I follow this routine every day because I want it to stick and become second nature. I need to lay back on the dilly dallying, but other than that, I am always ready on time and I have what I need done in time.
