*Elsaira Moon*

There has to be something! Anything! I've never been so stuck! Except when I've been asked to kill. No no, get off that topic. C'mon Elsaira think! You can't just go empty now! Well you wouldn't be if you had just done as you were told!

"Do you give up?" Jasper asked.

"Ugh fine! I can't do this." I said crossing my arms while leaning back on my chair. Jasper chuckled and put the chess pieces back in the start.

"You know, we can try another game..." Jasper suggested looking around the library for another game.

"No, I'm sorry. I've just been so fixed up on the war I just... I don't know." I said sighing. Jasper got up and walked towards the books.

"I mean c'mon, what's wrong with me?! I was always the best student, I know how to win every time and this..... it's pulling me off my tracks!" I exclaimed as my brother took out a book.

"You're too stressed. Try to breath a little." Jasper said as he looked around the library.

"What's this section?" Jasper asked looking at a long shelf full of books.

"Oh just old political books about royalty. Mostly about old laws that existed before at the beginning of the Spirit World's creation. I don't know I haven't really read them." I said simply. Jasper took out a book and looked through it.

"How come?" Jasper asked flipping through the pages. Good point, why haven't I read them?

"Um.... I don't know, I try to focus on the future more, laws from the past were removed for reasons." I shrugged casually and played with the Queen of the chess board.

"This is interesting, look.... 'no cake for birthdays or holidays?' What was wrong with people in the year.... 1133?" Jasper asked in disbelief.

"Oh I heard about that, there was a disease or something that they found when you mix flour and eggs at the time, so they had to let the illness pass or something like that. They called it Sweetdeath, I think." I said and he nodded.

"They really needed a better name." Jasper commented and we laughed.

"This world really had different ways of living. It makes me feel like humans are boring." Jasper chuckled.

"Not boring. We are all simply different." I said and he smiled.

"You should really read these, to take your mind off things." Jasper suggested.

"Alright." I said and walked towards him. I picked out a random book and looked at the cover. Laws of 1400-1480.

"Do you have anything on wars? Sorry, I know you want to take your mind off it but......" Jasper smiled a bit.

"Yeah, over there next to the lamp. But we don't have many wars, they are mostly Guardian wars. We have human wars around there if that is what you wish to read." I said and he nodded walking off.

I took a few books with me and sat back down on the couch and began to read. I wasn't going to lie, I was getting super bored. I then found myself just flipping through the pages and just scanning through them.

"Is that taking your mind off things?" Jasper asked from afar, most likely feeling the worry in me. I got quiet.

"Read it. If you want to, just look at the Princess sections." Jasper encouraged me. I nodded and flipped 76 pages after to find the Princess section. Once there I actually began to read it. As I read, I could feel the calmness spread through my body easily.

By the Kingdom of Rostervoln, the Council as Monarchy, and the King of Neverland, we hereby present the law that every Princess must give her place in the Royal throne to any Prince in her family born after her.

If I had a brother, I would've had to given my place?! Good thing I born after this.

"I promised Alice I would be back for a walk around town." Jasper said grabbing a few books.

"Of course, I'll just stay here a bit longer." I said and he nodded.

"I'll see you later." Jasper said walking out.

"Have a good time!" I called out before he left. I sat back down and returned my attention here.

After an hour of reading, Edward walked in.

"Hey." He smiled walking to me.

"Hey." I smiled back closing my book.

"How are you feeling?" Edward asked and I sighed.

"Better. Jasper really helped." I nodded and he smiled. Edward sat next to me and I placed my feet on his lap. He picked up a book behind him and joined me in the fascination of reading.

"Edward?" I asked his name. A question that burned through me in that very second. Jasper being gone really brought back that worry from before.

"Yes, love?" He asked looked at me.

"Would you...... would you hate me if I..... if I had done something to keep you safe?" I asked and he scrunched his eyebrows a bit.

"Where is this coming from?" Edward asked placing the book down.

"I don't know just..... curiosity?" I lied though it sounded like a question.

"No. I would never hate you." Edward said and his words relieved me.

"Though I would hope you'd tell me if you did something first, I understand your reasons, I always have. Seeing it from your view point. I know you would do anything to keep everyone safe. So I could never hate you. I will never." Edward said and I nodded.

"Thank you." I said and he smiled at me, he took my hand and squeezed it gently. My eyes couldn't help but look at the date on the calander behind him. Now, October 14. I looked back at Edward, giving him a small smile.

"I'm getting a bit hungry." I said, getting up.

"It's almost lunch time anyway." Edward said getting up.

"I want to put these books in my room first." I said and Edward nodded. He helped me carry the books to my room and place them on my nightstand.

We soon joined my parents and family for lunch.

I followed Jaspers advice, placing my attention elsewhere.

"Princess, it is time for bed, you really should continue the book in the morning." Nanette said as brought me my nightgown.

"Of course." I said, turning the page, something caught my eye. I read it quickly.
