*Edward Cullen*

Being in that hallway was the worst two hours of my life. They felt so eternal. Esme, Idun, Nanette, and the doctor were in there. All of us were standing here waiting for news. I tried my best not to listen to everyone's thoughts, they only thought the wrost which was annoying. I paced around and around, trying to be as patient as I could. Why was it taking so long?!

After what seemed like forever, Idun and my mother walked out of the room. Images of Elsaira sick on the bed flashed through both their minds. Elsaira was sweating, laying weakly, she was changing. Her skin was much less pale, but she looked in pain. Her skin looked a bit red as she was sweating. My heart sunk in as it caused me pain to see her like that.

"What happened?" Manny asked worriedly. Everyone was in alert.

"She's getting a fever. It keeps going higher by the minute." Idun said and sighed.

"She says her hands are throbbing in pain, she's sweating, she's changing." My mother added and Idun nodded.

"Her hair is durning dark, her eyes are green, her skin is less pale." Idun described and shook her head. Manny englufed his wife in his arms and hugged her tightly. Carlisle holding Esme as well, both mother's worried.

A few minutes went by and the doctor walked out. I stopped pacing and faced him.

"Edward?" He asked and I immediately walked to him.

"She is asking for you." Dr. Rivers said and I nodded. We walked in and I was immediately at her side holding her hand. She looked in so much pain. I wanted to cry here with her.

That was how it felt to just see her in such way. But when the doctor turned to us and said,

"I believe, your Highness, you have Influenza Humanitis." Dr. Rivers said and rubbed his neck. He wasn't taking a wild guess. He knew it was true, but in his mind, it was a bit hard to believe.

"What? H-how is that possible?" Elsaira asked breathless and shivered.

"I'm not sure." Dr. Rivers said honestly. "Let me explain to your family." Dr. Rivers said and walked out closing the doors behind him.

"What is Influenza Humanitis?" I asked and she smiled weakly at me.

"It is a flu like sickness every Spirit gets." She said and shivered. "We only get it before the age of 5, we get the flu but we turn fully human." Elsaira said and closed her eyes in the end. Turn human? This was a normality for them?

"As Spirits, w-we heal quickly, but with IH, if we get hurt, it will heal at Human's pace. We become weak a-and if anything extreme, vulnerable to death." Elsaira explained trembling. I flipped the towel on her head which would be colder and she sighed.

"If it is only before the age of 5, why now?" I asked and she shrugged.

"But if it is IH, then that would explain me losing my powers. I'm Human now." Elsaira said and frowned. Just then, Dr. Rivers walked in and sighed.

"Your Highness, Nanette will attend you. I must go check on one of the prisoners. It was reported she is in pain, and expiriencing a few similar symptoms as well." Dr. Rivers said. Immediately Elsaira looked at him.

"Which prisoner?" She asked breathless.

"Elsa." Dr. Rivers said. This triggered Elsaira. "I must see her." She said trying to stand up. I held her and pushed her gently back to the bed.

"No, you must rest. The doctor will attend her." I said and she sighed.

"Bring her to a g-guest room. Take care of h-her." Elsaira commanded and shivered, the doctor nodded and left. Nanette walked in.
