Sammy's POV"Man, I can't get her off of my mind. I felt this connection with her when I looked into her eyes. It was this feeling of being safe or a feeling like I was belonging to somewhere or someone... As if I was at home... you know?"
Nate looked at me and smiled, "dude, you just met her. Claire's pretty cute, and so is Emma. We gotta take it slow with them though. They came here as fans, not for speed dating."
I nodded.
As much as I didn't want to admit it, he was right. They were fans. But Claire, she was different. She didn't freak out. She wasn't acting like I was famous, and neither was Emma with Nate.
I must've sat there thinking for a long time because before I knew it, I heard her sweet voice break my thoughts.
"Hey, Sammy." She flashed her beautiful smile. Man, I will never be tired of seeing that.
I got up from the couch and hugged her, "Hey, Claire. Glad you guys could get back here," I looked at the security guard who looked at me waiting for the sign to leave, "Thanks, Dan."
Emma and Nate sat on the couch farthest of Claire and me.
God, she was beautiful. Her hair was perfectly straight and blonde. Her eyes reminded me of the ocean I used to visit every summer as a kid with my family, and I loved that about her. Her sense of style was one of the best I've ever seen. She would always look good right by side.
We sat for awhile just talking about ourselves and laughing at little things. Nate and I realized we had to be backstage by the curtains to perform in three minutes.
Nate was holding Emma's hand and guided her out of the dressing room. I had my arm around Claire's waist as we stood there giggling at Kenny and Cody's expressions.
Her brother, Scott, was intimidating. He couldn't have been over twenty three, but he was tough. He looked like he was protective of her and I knew I needed to make a good impression on him. The last thing I needed was for him to make her not like me.
Everyone backstage dispersed so it was only Nate, Emma, Claire, and I left. Jack and Jack were running towards the dressing room to change their clothes and it was now Nate and I's time to perform.
"Good luck! You'll both do great as always," She smiled again, giving me the butterflies - not butterflies; guys don't get butterflies. These were... moths?
I gave her a quick, tight hug before pressing my lips to hers. I felt the sparks my mom always told me to look for. I felt the world come to a complete stop, like nothing else was going on. She was my world now, even if I met her an hour ago. I needed to take things slow, but I know from the sparks that she's definitely not 'just another girl.'
