A/N : I DO NOT OWN HAIKYUU
Emiko's POV
I was on my way to school. It was my first day at Karasuno High, my older brother Tooru begged for me to go to Aoba Johsai because it was his last year there and he wanted me to be the manager. But I declined saying that I might end up being in fights everyday for being so close with him. So after a lot of crying (mostly from Tooru) I was finally on my way to start high school.
The actual reason I didn't go to Aoba Johsai was because I didn't want to be around a powerhouse school after my accident. I knew that if I was around a powerhouse school I would miss volleyball to much and become depressed. I was still sad that I couldn't play volleyball.
I still remember that day I could no longer play volleyball.
~~~~~~~~~~~Flashback~~~~~~~~~~~~
I was the captain of the girls team at Kitagawa Daiichi. I played setter but over all was a very well rounded player.
It was 2 weeks before nationals so we were practicing like crazy. Tooru had also came to watch our practice since his practice at Seijoh was cut short. We were currently practicing against a high school team.
Me and one of the girls on my team went to receive the ball (a/n sorry this part is kind of hard to write so I'm kinda gonna skip a little) but in the process I had got knocked over spraining my ankle, breaking my arm, and getting a major concussion.
The next day I had woken up in hospital bed with a cast. And my family surrounding me.
~~~~~~~~~Flashback~End~~~~~~~~~~
I was so distraught from that. I had to stay in the hospital for 3 weeks and I had learned that my team had forfeited from nationals and had disappeared from the spotlight.

Emiko's POV
When I reached school I past by the boys volleyball gym and the squeak of someones shoes against the gym floor. I had wondered why someone was already practicing ( a/n sorry if I'm wrong I haven't watched the beginning of the anime in a while) this early in the morning. I decided that it wouldn't hurt to see who it was that was practicing.
When I peeked inside of the gym I saw a someone do an almost perfect jump serve.
Kageyama POV
When I landed from my jump serve I felt a pair of eyes watching me. I turned my head to see who it was only to lock eyes with a pair of beautiful brown eyes.
Normal POV
"I-I-I'm sorry!" Emiko started, "I shouldn't have been intruding."
"D-don't worry, it's ok" Kageyama reassured.
They stayed in an awkward silence not really looking each other in the eye.
"So I-I feel like I've seen at Kitagawa Daiichi" She started.
"Yeah I was the captain for the volleyball team last year"
'So that is where I've seen him before' She thought.
Emiko started to walk back to the school when Kageyama's voice interrupted her,
"W-wait, weren't you on one of the sport teams there?"
"Yeah, I was," She replied with a sad but small smile that he could just barely see.
"What sport did you play?"
"Volleyball,"
"How come you aren't going to play in high school?" He curious.
"Things happened, now I no longer play." She said sharply turning away to walk towards the school.
Kageyama's POV
'Did I go to far?'
That thought kept on running through my head after that encounter. She had said that something happened and she stopped, what could have happened that she seemed so upset from it?

When I got to my class I noticed that she was also in my class sitting just a few rows ahead of me.
Normal POV
The teacher was taking role she reached a certain name that made Kageyama's ears perk up
"Oikawa Emiko,"
"Present," she said in a monotone voice.
At that moment a million thoughts started running through his head like 'She's related to Oikawa?' and 'So that's her name, maybe she knew not to give me her name because of that,' but there was one last thought that stuck in his head the longest, 'If her name is Oikawa Emiko is she really 'The Great Empress' that disappeared days before nationals?'
