Emiko's POV

It was 2 days until Inter High.  Currently Coach Ukai was doing serves so that the others could work on receiving them, me and Kiyoko were passing the balls to him.  After we were done that drill Coach started explain who we should watch out for, then Takeda-sensei came with the paper one who we were going to face.  So we were going to face Tokonami first, then Date Tech, and if we beat them then face Aoba Johsai.

"Hey Emiko, you should gives us some tips for next time we face Seijoh," Said Tsukishima.

"Oh no I can't we promised that we wouldn't rat each other out before one of us gets crushed."

"Then how do you know that he won't break the promise?" Asked Suga.

"Oh that's because we made it in front of Iwaizumi.  Even though he is on there team he knows not to break one of my promises." I said with a scary smile making the rest of the team gulp in fear.

After practice ended Kageyama and Hinata decided to stay despite me telling them that they should go home and rest.  So while no one was looking I gave him a quick kiss on the check and said bye.

When I got home I saw that our parents had left a note saying that they will be gone on a business trip for the next week.  I sigh, but soon realize that Tooru is home so I decide to see what he wants to do.

"Hi Nii-san I'm h-"

I saw him immersed to the tv watching a match he had with Shiratorizawa last year.  It made me sad seeing him like this, all alone.  So I walk up behind him and place my chin on his shoulder watching the match will him.  Suddenly his voice brings me back to reality.

"Not a single match."

"Huh?"

"We couldn't even win a single match against them,"

There was a long pause.

"I'm so lame Imoto,"

Then she saw what she hadn't seen in a long time.  He started to cry.

"It's okay..."

"...You're the best Nii-san anyone could ask for, don't let this distract you from what you are able to do, it also hurts me to see you like this too," I say trying to cheer him up.

"No I'm not, I'm the worst Nii-san in the world.  I couldn't even keep you safe from you injury last year,"

"That's because you couldn't do anything. No one could do anything.  It was just my fate to end up like this."

"Your wrong.  I could have helped you.  I was sitting right there like an idiot just watching you fall not doing anything."

There was another long pause.

"It should have been me.  You never deserved to get injured.  You are way better at volleyball than me, you had so much potential and it all got taken away from you in a split second."

"Tooru-nii...  don't say that again.  You have so much more potential than me.  Don't let me get in your way.  You were always meant to play volleyball, you're in your last year of high school you have a great opportunity because of it, so take it,"

"Since when have you become better at pep talks than me Imoto?" he asked while wiping away his tears.

"Since always Nii-san," I said with a chuckle.

"Now go get your self cleaned up, I'll make you milk bread buns,"

"Really!?"

"Of course," I said with a smile.  It as nice to see him back to normal.
