Chapter 33

Emiko's POV

Today was our first day back from camp.

Me and Tobio were walking to school in the cold winter morning.  

I was wearing my manager tracksuit with a long white puffer jacket over top with a scarf and a beanie.

When we arrived in front of the school we saw that Hinata had also just arrived.

As soon as the two made eye contact they went racing off toward the club room.

"H-hey!" I yelled reaching my hand out like I was trying to grab them.

But by the time I had reached out the two were already out of sight.  

I sigh and dragged my feet in the same direction that they ran off to.

When I finally caught up to them I saw them tossing the ball back and forth.  I took a seat on the steps leading to the club room.

I could briefly hear Tobio talking about Hoshiumi to Hinata.  That's when Tanaka came with the keys. 

After we had finally gotten the gym open I went to go put my stuff down near the bench.

That's when I saw Sugawara go up behind Hinata and Tobio and put his arms around them.

"Hinata, Kageyama!  You guys made it back in one piece!" He said with an overly happy smile.

"Heya, heya.  You guys better not have been fighting as soon as you get back," He warned.

"Nah, they were already fighting when I brought the key over," Tanaka told him.

"That's way too fast," Sugawara said sighing a little in the process.

"Kageyama, Emiko, how was youth training camp?" Tanaka asked the two of us when we walking past.

"Yeah that!  How was All-Japan?" Nishinoya added getting excited at the thought. 

"The floor wasn't made out of wooden planks," Tobio said completely serious which made me sweat drop a little.

"Come on!  Tell us about the volleyball!  There was crazy good guys from all over there, right?"  Tanaka said getting impatient.

"Hai.  Everyone was really good," He told him.

"Hinata, you didn't try to sneak into the All-Japan Youth Camp, did you?"  Sugawara asked making Hinata break out in sweat.

"Well, uh..." He said at a loss of words.

"Apparently, he didn't try because he would get arrested," Tsukishima said when he walked into the gym, "he was actually planning on sneaking into the Tokyo Camp,"

"Nice Shoyo!" Nishinoya said.

'Are you supposed to compliment that?' I asked myself.

"Tsukishima, did you grow a little taller at camp too?"  Sugawara asked patting his head.

'How much can you grow in five days?' I questioned myself while sweat dropping.

After the nets were set up I went to go section off the net into 10 parts.

"Hey Emiko-san, why are you taping the net?" Hinata said walking over to me.

"That's because Coach Ukai wants to be able to see where all the balls are going during serves," I explained to him.

"Woah!" He said back right when Coach Ukai called everyone to start serving.
