Chapter 20

Emiko's POV

We had just lost our first set of the day against Nekoma.  After they finished the run the Shinzen managers came in telling us that the Shinzen parents had brought watermelons for the camp, so we paused practice for a little bit to eat.

I was helping the other managers hand out watermelon slices before grabbing one for myself to eat with the others.

I found Tobio sitting by himself so I went over to go sit with him.

"Hi Tobio!" I said with a smile.

"Hey Emiko," he said back.

"You don't sound very happy to see me," I told him pouting.

"N-no it's not like that," he said while starting to blush.

"Are you sure?" I said teasing him.

"Y-yes," he said as he gulped.

Suddenly I heard my phone my phone ringing so I stood up so that I could answer it away from all of the noise.

"Emi-chan?"

"Hey Tooru-nii," I said grining ear to ear, after all, I hadn't heard or seen him in almost a week.

"Yay you picked up!" He said in his overly sweet voice.

"How could I not pick up to you of all people?" I stated laughing.

"Never mind that, how's the camp been going?" He asked.

"Yeah it's really fun they are getting some really good practice in,"

"How about you?" 

"I've been fine, I was able to get some practice in myself,"

"What about your ankle?"

"It's been fine,"

"I'm glad," Tooru said smiling.

"Me too,"

"But what about you?"

"Ahh I've been fine don't worry,"

"Are you sure your knee has been acting up lately," I asked worried.

"Don't worry about me Emi-chan, I'll be fine," he said with a smile.

"Are you sure?"

"Of course I am,"

"How about mom and dad?"

"You know them, obsessed with work,"

"I guess,"

"Well I'll see you soon?"

"Yeah see you soon,"

"Love you,"

"Love you too," I said as I hung up.

"OooOooOOooO was that your boyfriend?" Kuroo said in a teasing voice.

"No it was my brother Kuroo-san," I told him.

"Are you sure?" He said raising his eyebrow.

"Of course, now I need to go to my team." I said walking towards the gym.

We had just finished our last game of the day against Ubugawa and everyone was getting ready for their personal practice.  We had all been wondering about Tsukishima because it seemed that he never gave his all when in games and practicing.  Tobio said that he didn't need any help and it seemed as no one else needed any help so I decided to walk around the Shinzen campus.

As I passed by Gymnasium 3 I heard a voice say my name.

"Oikawa-san!" A certain bed head yelled from inside the gym.

I whipped my head around to see Kuroo, Bokuto, Akaashi, and a forced to be their Tsukishima standing in the doorway.

"Hm?" I asked him.

"Come and help us out with our practice!" Bokuto-san said.

"I guess I have nothing better to do," I sighed as I walked into the gym.

Since Kuroo was busy trying to train Lev we were split into two teams.

It was me and Tsukishima versus Bokuto and Akaashi.  Even though they were destroying us I was able to get some points in from my jump serves.  

"You can take a break Oikawa-san, I'll take a over from here,"  Kuroo-san said pointing at Lev who was currently laying on the floor.  

'Is he dead?' Me and Tsukishima thought at the same time.

It was so interesting seeing how well Kuroo could read Bokuto's spikes and block them so well.

"Look you have to block like this, after you do this, YOU NEED TO MAKE THIS STUPID OWL STUT UP!" Kuroo-san yelled at Tsukishima making Bokuto shout a hey in response.

"Emiko?" I heard someone say from outside of the gym.

"Oh hey Tobio," I replied walking out of the gym to talk to him.

"So this is what happened after you couldn't find anything to do?" He asks.

"Trust me Tobio, it wasn't my first choice," I said laughing a little bit.

Normal POV

"Oh?  First name basest.  Could this be your secret boyfriend you've been so secretive about," Kuroo said poking his head out the gym with Bokuto and Tsukishima behind him watching as well.

"Wow Oikawa-san you really must be desperate to be dating the king," Tsukishima said with a smirk.

"Tsukishima!  WHAT THE HELL IS WRONG WITH YOU!"  Emiko yelled chasing Tsukishima around the gym before Akaashi stopped her to save the poor blond boys life.  Who would have known Emiko could be so much scarier than Daichi.
