A/N: This is a longer chapter, Just a heads up 2500+ words
Emiko's POV
Today was the second day of the training camp. Day one had gone by pretty quick since we didn't get everyone together until around 3 and introductions and explanations took a long time, so yesterday all we really did was serving and hitting drills.
Today we were going to start practice sets. Kageyama was on a team with Sakusa and Komori from Itachiyama, a first year from Shinzen, and two other players that I didn't know yet. They were playing against a second year that I recognized to be half of the Miya Twins (A/N: because they well known, ya know?) and the 169 centimeter kid.
They were all doing pretty good until Kageyama accidentally did his super quick falling toss that he usually does for Hinata causing them to lose the set.
"Ah, well. This is still the first set," The libero from Itachiyama said.
"Sorry, forced habit," He said apologizing to an annoyed Sakusa.
"That set basically said. 'Of course your this far into your approach already, right?' You must have some incredible players on that team of your Emiko-san," Coach Hibarida said looking at me.
"Kind of," I said while watching them prepare of the second set.
After practice most of the players went to dinner so I joined them.
"I feel so much better when there's someone I know around," Eikichi, the first year from Shinzen said.
I saw Kageyama pick up a piece of broccoli with his chopsticks. He looked at the broccoli then looked at Eikichi. I tried my best to hold in a laugh knowing exactly what he was thinking.
"You guys at Karasuno beat Shiratorizawa, and you're going to nationals, right?" He asked us.
"Mhm!" I said with food in my mouth.
"That's awesome. My team lost a full set at the finals, I was sure we'd win too." He said looking disappointed.
Soon we heard foot steps coming up to our table.
"Hey," the person said.
We turned around.
"Sakusa!" Eikichi said in surprise.
"I haven't watched the tape yet, but why did Shiratorizawa lose?" He started looking right at Tobio, "Was Wakatoshi-kun not at his best?"
"He seemed to be in tip top form to me," Tobio told him.
"Huh? Then why the hell did he lose? How did you manage to do that? Did someone actually manage to stop Wakatoshi-kun?" He asked glaring down at poor Tobio.
"Yeah, they did," He said bluntly making Sakusa mad.
"Who was it? What year? What's their name? What junior-" He asked before being cut off by Komori.
"Sorry about that!" He said, "He can be quiet a downer sometimes. He has to know everything about anyone that could be a threat to him."
"I'm not a downer, I'm just cautious," Sakusa told the libero.
"You haven't actually gotten serious yet, have you? Sakusa-san," Tobio asked catching everyones attention.
"What makes you say that"
"It's just a feeling, I mean, you're way more normal then what I'd imagine you'd be like so far," Tobio said bluntly causing me and Komori to hold in our laugh.
