Chapter 2

Emiko's POV

After a week into school I realized that I should probably join a club.  I saw the sign ups for art club, drama club, and some others that seemed interesting, but deep down I knew that I could never get over volleyball and I will always love it.  So I made up my mind that should become manager for Karasuno Boys Volleyball team.

Emiko's POV

I made my way to the gym after school, slipped on my old volleyball shoes that I had missed. 

When I walked through the door I felt all the eyes in the gym fall on me.

I started quickly analyzing everyone on their skills and positions, but a voice soon pulled me out of my thoughts.

"Hi, my name is Daichi Sawamura, I'm the captain of this team, is there anything you need?"

"H-hello D-Daichi-senpai, my name is Oikawa Emiko, I was actually wondering if you had a manager position open?"

"Sure!" He beamed "Since Kiyoko-san is a third year it will be nice knowing that there is someone who is going to be manager next year."

"Arigato"

Short time skip

Normal POV

"So Oikawa-san, what junior high did you go to?" Tanaka asked.

"Oh, I went to Kitagawa Daiichi," 

"Really?! Do you know The Great Empress?!" He asked curious but excited.

"Who's The Great Empress?" Asked Hinata.

"YOU DON'T KNOW WHO THE GREAT EMPRESS IS!?" Yelled Tanaka in shock.

"Calm down it's okay Hinata's only a Little Giant fan," Sugawara said as he sweat dropped. 

"She was able to bring her team together no matter what, she was given the best setter award as a second year, she had mastered the jump serve as well, she was also able to spike and received as if she played ace and libero, but a few days before nationals they seemed to disappeared."  Tanka started.

"Are you okay, Oikawa-san" asked Daichi, after seeing her looking a little depressed from this conversation.

"Yeah," She said looking up from the floor plastering a fake smile on her lips.

Kageyama POV

'I knew that this conversation would come up,' Kageyama thought. 'I'm surprised that she hasn't broken down yet.'

Normal POV

They were interrupted by Takeda-sensei rushing though the door.

"I-I got us a practice match! With Aoba Johsai!"

"Really?!" 

"Yeah,"

"Aoba-Johsai huh," Emiko says with a faint smile on her lips.

"Do you know Aoba Johsai or something?" Ennoshita asked.

"Yeah my brother is the captain of the team," She said quietly.

"WHAT!" The entire team but Kageyama yelled.

"Wait but there is one condition that they said," Takeda-sensei 

"Condition?"

"They want Kageyama to act as full-time setter."

'Of course Tooru-nii would want him to play full time,' Emiko thought as she sigh.

Emiko's POV

When I was leaving practice I saw someone outside waiting outside of the school, but I automatically knew who it was.

"Hi Tooru-nii!!" I said skipping happily.

"Hello Emi," 

"How was practice Nii-san?"

"Fine,"

"Well I heard that you still aren't fully healed from your knee injury," 

"Who told you that?" He asked shocked.

"A little birdie named Iwa-chan," I told him as I giggled.

"Of course he did," Tooru said as he pouted.

I laughed at his childish antics, he was always like this since childhood.  I was usually the the calm and collected one while he was the dramatic and childish one. 

"So, why did you request that Kageyama was to be the main setter for the entire match?" I asked.

"You know, to make things interesting," 

"Even if you aren't going to play in the entire match?" I asked raising an eyebrow knowing perfectly well that he was not going to let any of his secrets slip bye in a practice match.

"So mean Imoto!" He said as he started to speed up leaving me to have to run behind him, after all he was 184 centimeters while I was 171 centimeters.

Emiko's POV

Today was going to be our match against Seijoh.  Hinata was a nervouse wreck but everyone else seemed okay from what I saw.

When we arrived at Aoba Johsai I quickly found a familiar brown hair ace and ran up to him hugging him.

Normal POV

"Iwa-chan!!!!" She yelled as she ran up and hugged him.

"I haven't seen you in so lonnnnggggg!!" She wined

Dispite her being more mature than her brother it doesn't mean that she wasn't super childish around her closest friends.

"Yeah I haven't seen you since you were in junior high, I miss seeing you play."

"Yeah I miss it to,"

"So, when is your brother coming? He hasn't showed up yet."

"You know him, liking his grand entrances," She said smirking.  With her hands on her hips.

"Hey Emiko, let's get going," Daichi called.

"It was nice taking Iwa-chan, you should come over again you haven't been over in a while,"

"Sure, it was nice taking to you again,"

Kageyama POV

I don't know what came over me but I felt something watching those to converse, it was like I wished that she would talk to me like that. Wait it this what it feels like to be jealous?
