Chapter 29

A/N: Okay so I'm debating weather I should do a 20k special.  Because I have an idea but it would take a while to write so do ya'll want it??

Emiko's POV 

After the award ceremony Coach Ukai and Takeda sensei treated us for food.  It was quiet amusing really.  Hinata, Nishinoya, and Tanaka were basically passed out on the table, and I could see Tobio struggling to stay awake while eating his own food. 

Everyone's eyes were all red and puffy from crying, and it seemed like Takeda-sensei couldn't stop crying.  Me and Shizumi had to apologize to the owner.   

When we got back to school there was a huge banner outside of the school congratulating us on going to the Spring Tournament.  Because of this we had to work much harder.  I had heard that they were trying to raise enough money so that we could stay in a decent place in Tokyo since the school didn't give us much funding since we haven't been very successful in the past years, so we also did our best to try and raise money.

Hinata had also told us that Nekoma and Fukurodani had made it to the qualifier for the Spring Tournament as well.

Today we were going to take all of our measurements for the Spring Tournament Pamphlet.  We had just finished all of the first years heights.  In conclusion, Hinata was still short,  Yamaguchi and Tobio had grown, and Tsukishima was way too tall. 

We were now measuring the highest vertical jump for everybody. 

I was standing on a ladder next to the backboard so I could measure the height.  

Tobio was up next.  He had jumped pretty high which impressed the rest of the team.

"337 centimetres," I said for Shizumi to record.  

His was the highest but we still had Hinata left.

His was also pretty high so they were anticipating the height.

"Let's see," I said pulling the tape measure, "Uh, 333 centimetres," 

This made Hinata upset and Tobio happy that he had beat him.

A little after the two of them started fighting Takeda-sensei opened the gym door and told us to come over.

"I know this is sudden, but I have some big news," He started, "Kageyama-kun, Oikawa-kun, you two have been asked to attend the All-Japan Youth Intensive Training Camp.

"All-Japan Youth?!" Everyone said in shock.

"Mhmm! Kageyama has been invited as a player and Oikawa as a coach!" Takeda-sensei explained.

"Coach?" I said pointing at myself.

"Well you did make most of the training menus, and you devised a lot of the strategies we use now," Daichi explained. 

"Yeah, you shouldn't be too surprised Emiko-san," Sugawara said.

"I guess," 

"But the training camp is going to be held for five days at the beginning of December, and right before the Spring Tournament in January, for Emiko she must a day early, so it's not a requirement to go,"

"I'll go," Me and Tobio said at the same time.

"They should go," Daichi said, "I mean the best of Japan are going to be there,"
