It was early in the morning. You and Jervis were going over the plan, making sure there was not a single fault. While you were talking, you noticed a change in Jervis's demeanor. Something was on his mind. You stopped mid sentence and asked what was wrong. Nothing could prepare you for what he said next. "There is something that has been weighing on my mind for a few days now." You folded your hands and motioned for him to continue. "This is horribly difficult for me to say but I need to be completely honest with you at this point. I lied to you about Alice. Not entirely but some parts were fabricated." He took a deep breath. The words that he was trying to string together were suck in the back of his throat. "I did unspeakable things to her. I was abusive, mentally and...sexually." He started to cry. "That's why she ran away from me. She didn't fall off the ledge like I had told you, she jumped off because she told me that she would rather die then risk being manipulated again." He broke down, fell down to his knees, folded his hands, and bowed his head onto your lap. Almost like he was "praying" for forgiveness.

There was ringing in your ears. You were absolutely furious. To think, you've said horrible things about Alice when in reality, she was the real victim. You couldn't forgive yourself. But you couldn't think about yourself right now, you had to deal with Jervis. You took a moment to think before you spoke. "Get up you son of a bitch." He looked up at you with tear filled eyes and stood up. "What the fuck do you want me to say Jervis? Nothing that you can say or do will justify what you did." You were shaking with anger. "This is exactly what is wrong with Gotham, people like you are running around completely demolishing the integrity of this city. I'm not going to let that happen anymore. Gotham needs to be blown to bits in order to be built up again and that is exactly what I am going to do. I am going to destroy Gotham myself. This queen no longer needs a king. Get the fuck out. I never want to see you again. Just the sight of you is making me sick." Jervis didn't dare utter a word. He simply glanced back at you, knowing that it would be the last time that he would see you.
