Throwing yourself onto the couch, you continued to work on getting everything in order. In a hushed tone, you said, "Ian Hargrove. You, my friend, are essential. Let's see if I can find you. Hargrove, Hargrove, Hargrove." You began to flip swiftly through the pages of the phonebook. "Aha! There you are." You grabbed your phone and dialed the number listed in bold. While the line was ringing, you made sure to have a pen and a piece of paper close to you so you could write down any sort of important information. Luckily, after the third ring, a voice could be heard at the end of the line.
After a brief conversation with Ian, you were...confused. Everything went smoothly. A little too smoothly that is. You told him what you needed in order to get an estimate of how much everything would cost. He said that it was free of charge on behalf of Jervis putting in "a good word for you." Ian said that he would even plant the explosives for you. It just didn't make sense. If you remembered correctly, Jervis said that Ian was an acquaintance, nothing more. Then it hit you. Jervis hypnotized him. That sly son of a bitch. You had mixed feelings. To a certain extent you were thankful that Jervis had intervened because now you didn't need to figure out how to get money to cover the expenses but you also couldn't help being a little resentful. Did he think that you were not capable of carrying out your own plan? It seemed like you didn't even need to lift a finger at this point! Almost everything was done for you. You didn't want it to be like that. You wanted to do this on your own. When push comes to shove you were more than able of figuring out how to cover the cost. You have a brain of your own after all. A few minutes had passed and you decided to just shrug it off. You had more important things to concern yourself with.
It was time to tackle the next step. Lucky, this one was very straightforward, and that was to wait.
