"What's his deal?l I ask Mars.

"He don't have a deal."

"I'm pretty sure he does."

"Don't talk about my friend like that."

"Whatever."

"He's not bad. He just..." Mars starts to say.

"He just what." I hate it when people don't finish they're sentence but I wasn't about to push my luck so I shut up. When I get back to the room Mars practically runs to the windows and locks them. Such a puppy dog towards the Alpha. I roll my eyes mentally.

"Lexus will be watching you as I baby-"

"I'm not a baby!"

"You act like one." He says and leaves.

Lexus IS staring at me. Like he's not even blinking. Lexus has these eyes. They're the colors of diamonds. It's kind of scary how clear they are. I know looking would get me in trouble, and this time I couldn't use the "They're just beautiful" excuse.

This is awkward I'm sitting on the bed. Lexus is still staring. He's not said one word. I haven't said one word. Thankfully Mars comes back and looks between us. With a summon of his hand I follow.

When I say baby proof I mean baby proof. I doubt anyone could escape. Not saying I wanted too...not until it got bad anyways. That's what I did, evade situations. But as of right now I didn't want to leave. Call me greedy, but I liked getting fed and not getting rained on.

"The alpha is busy right now, but he wants to talk to you."

"What would he want to talk about."

"I don't know." Mars says. "That's between y'all."

I cross my arms, hmph, aren't you just good at your job Marty boy."

"There it is."

"What?"

"Your baby side."

"I am not a-." Mars raises his eyes brows as of saying see what I mean.

I don't want to argue all the way to the Alpha's office so I shut up in awkward silence.

This dumb alpha is late again. Mars said he'd be here 30 minutes ago but nooooo, his stupid butt has to be late. Finally he waltz in like some cocky little...ugh I don't know but it frustrates me.
"And where were you?" I know that's not the thing  I say but I'm not shutting my mouth.

"Wouldn't you like to know princess."

My eyes slit at that name. "Actually I would."

"Too bad nosy."

"Don't call me-." He interrupts me, "so you know we're mates...correct." Seeing that Im not getting anywhere with the names I ignore the nosy parts and answer his question. "Yes."

"And you know about the cycle?"

Not really but I nod my head.

"Well before it starts, I need to know."

"Why?" I ask cautiously.

"Don't ask why."

"Why." I ask again.

"Didn't I just -." A shrill voice interrupts his speech. Should I be thankful or deaf that the shrill voice interrupted the alpha when it did.

"Deaf." Rhemington says.

Oops guess I said that aloud too.

"Yeah you do it a lot."
Dang it. The voice comes closer and closer and closer and closer until I see the person who makes that screech. She has black hair, not the bottle kind either. More like midnight black. She's slender and fit, but her face caked with makeup. I bet she's really pretty without it. As I look her up and down, I feel her eyes on me. "Baby why is there a human in your office. She was disgusted. Not only could you tell by her voice but the way her eyes eyed me up and down. She looked like she wanted to barf at the sight of me.
"We we're taking." Rhemington says.

"About her death. She should be dead."

Those words make me see red and it takes everything in me not to slug her. "I have a heart you know."

"Well bi- ."

"Luna pipe down." His words hurt me. That's why he don't want me, she's his Luna. "She's right I need to leave."

"No we were talking."

"You're obviously busy with your Luna." I didn't mean for it to sound so hasty but I was jealous. Rhemington starts to laugh, a hearty laugh.

"My Luna..." he keeps laughing. "No. You- her names Luna."

She'd have a chance if she didn't wear so much makeup.

"What did you just say?"

I honestly need to start watching my mouth. "Rhemington if you won't kill her I will." And that's when I see my life flash before my eyes. Her claws are out and she looks rabid. She's growling and then she lunges. I'm ready for death. I deserve it. I open my eyes and see him holding her as she tries to claw towards me.
"LUNA STOP." Rhemington's voice is dark and deep. Making me want to crawl in a corner and hide. She bows in submission and looks me in my eyes. I know that it won't be over for a long time.

"You just have to keep running your mouth don't you?" I'm sitting in my room, the debacle happening three hours before. But somehow I'm getting yelled at now.

"I jus-just."

"Stop stuttering human."

Here goes my mouth again: "I have a name you know it's Quinn. Q-u-i-n-n. Stop being a stupid brat, your remind me of my sister and she's six."
I didn't have a sister. But he would never know that. His eyes were turning black. And he wasn't the cold person I knew. He was becoming angry.

"If you don't get away. I will kill you."

"It's my room." He growls and leaves but not before swiping at a lamp.

Not a second later a blondie comes into my room.
"What stick did you shove up his butt.

I laughed at that comment. "I haven't forgiven you for abandoning me."

"I didn't want to end up dead."

"I see."

My door opens again this time a girl waltz in. "Christin get out, me and her need to talk."
Again he bolts. "So you and Rhemington huh?"
The gears in my head start turning. I'm about to say something that will get me in trouble.

"If you're going to bite off my head because you think we are involved then go bite Luna's head off. He doesn't want me. Now I'd appreciate it if your stank self would help yourself out and close the door behind you."

She's shocked but doesn't leave. "Rhemington Birdie Blood is my brother."
