tyler was on stage finishing up the second to last song and mentally preparing the trees speech which is up next. veronica was watching from the side stage, bobbing her head to the beat and singing the words. she was alone tonight, but she didn't mind. she averted her attention from josh's drumming when her phone vibrated. it was her best friend claire, and she was excited to be texting her in her few free moments. they had a short conversation.

"how was it, ronnie?" tyler asked, taking the sweat towel she had outstretched and ready for him in her hand. josh did the same a few seconds later.
