"okay, but why is our assistant actually really hot?" josh mumbled to tyler as they all stood in the lobby waiting for mark to arrive before team dinner. veronica was texting colin on her phone, not paying attention to what was going on around her. normally, she would be standing with josh and tyler, talking or joking around. but she is mad at tyler, he treated her like he was her property. which she isn't. he has no right to judge her.

"dude, i know." tyler said, looking at veronica in her dress (^^ pictured above). veronica caught a glimpse of tyler looking in her direction and she rolled her eyes and scoffed, looking back at her phone.

"whoa, what was that about? trouble in paradise?" josh joked with tyler, hitting him on the back.

tyler looked down, "you could say that." he got out his phone to shoot veronica a text, trying to avoid face to face confrontation in front of the whole crew.

they had a short conversation.

ronnie, i'm sorry i said those things. i was just shocked for a second. i didnt mean it in any way

you totally did mean it. and thats okay. but tyler, i have a life of my own outside of working for you. thats the last time i'll ever share anything personal with you. that was my fault, for thinking of you as a friend instead of a boss. it won't happen again, don't worry.

ronnie.. stop. we are friends. i consider you one of best friends, please don't

"let's go!" mark said, acting as if he didn't just arrive ten minutes late.

"yes please, i'm starved." veronica replied, walking to the front door. everyone followed her. tyler trailed a few steps behind the rest of the crew. he felt bad for judging veronica, but he also wishes he could just tell her that he was actually just feeling protective and a little jealous. she deserves better than hooking up with a random just because she's sexually frustrated. she deserves a man who wants to be with her and would make love to her because he was in love with her. he wishes she could find the right man. he wishes he was the right man, in a way. because he knows that he would treat her right. but he also knows that she's too good for him.

veronica was leading the pack and arrived to the restaurant within a few minutes. she held the door for everyone to walk in, she received a few 'thank you's. tyler stopped in front of veronica and took her place at the door so that he could hold it open for her.

"thanks." veronica said, about to make her way through the door.

tyler grabbed her wrist to stop her, "ronnie, i'm sorry." he said genuinely. "i just care about y-you," he stuttered when they made eye contact, "and i want what is best for you. i don't want you to get hurt. i want you to be safe. i really, really would not be able to live with myself if something happened to you while you're just right across the hall."

veronica sighed and took his hand that was wrapped around her wrist into her own hand, squeezing it. "i appreciate that. i'll be okay, and if i'm not... i know that you and josh are right across the hall to protect me." she squeezed his hand again, "thank you. i'm sorry i got angry." she let go of his hand and looked at him one final time.

"i won't ever judge you again, i promise." tyler said as veronica wrapped her arms around his neck for a hug.

"can we eat now?" she whispered into the crook of his neck, causing tyler to get chills.

"yes, we can."

the next morning was a good one for veronica. well by the time she woke up, it wasn't morning. it was 2pm, but hey, it felt good to sleep for 14 hours straight with no interruptions. she needed coffee though and she hopes that someone is able to get up and go with her because she hates going places alone when she's in a new city. she got up and brushed her teeth before throwing on a lazy outfit with white vans.

she grabbed her purse and phone before dragging herself to the door across the hall. she knocked twice on the door, hoping someone would answer. her hopes were answered when a shirtless, obviously right out of bed tyler answered the door.

"hey ronnie," he said, opening the door wider for her to enter. upon entering she noticed that josh wasn't there, whom would have been her first choice for coffee since he actually drinks it.

"i know you don't drink coffee but-"

tyler cut her off, "yeah let me just change real quick." he said, interrupting his own smile with a yawn.

"maybe fix your hair too," veronica joked as she ran her hand through his hair and walked to sit on the edge of his bed while he changed. tyler chuckled and threw on a black adidas shirt, with his black skinny jeans and vans. he grabbed his phone and wallet before standing at the door for veronica. she laughed and stood up, "you always look so good in skinny jeans, it blows my mind."

tyler laughed, "what does that even mean?"

veronica laughed and shoved him a little bit as they walked to the elevator, "some people can't pull them off. but you can."

"is that a good thing?" tyler said, wiggling his eyebrow in a joking way.

"it's a fabulous thing. you should be proud. you look hot in them." veronica teased.

"well, gee," tyler touched his heart and held in a blush that was trying really hard to be visible, "thank you."
