hi quickie authors note: I am sorry for lack of updates. i'm trying to finish crybaby so I can release my new fic! bare with me.

tyler walked in school the next day in a good mood. he felt on top of the world and he knew nothing could change that.

turning the corner he saw josh standing there with hayley. josh noticed him and a blush appeared on his cheeks. tyler gave him a wave and a wink before walking the other direction.

he ignored the way his heart soared at the sight of josh and continued walking. he saw brendon standing next to sarah and he walked up to them.

"hellloooo." he sang.

"what's up ty," brendon said while dabbing him up.

"you tryna match later? my folks won't be home for a while, we can smoke and order food or something." he asked attentively.

tyler sighed and shook his head. "I can't bro I have detention remember?" he reminded him.

"ohhh yeahhhh," brendon dragged out. "I forgot about that. how long do you have to do that anyways?" he asked.

"one more week. i'm so excited to be done even though I like spending time with josh. he's really cool when he's not mad at me." tyler said hoping he wasn't blushing.

"darren told me that he has a little crush on you." brendon added while wiggling his eyebrows.

"he's a cutie I like him." sarah spoke.

brendon fake pouted. "but not more than me, right?"

tyler rolled his eyes at them and they walked to class together. what brendon said stuck in tyler's mind. he obviously knew that there was an attraction there but he had no clue that josh actually liked him. sighing, he shook the thought from his head and pulled out his notebook.

during lunch, tyler sat with his usual people, the basketball team + brendon. quite frankly, he couldn't stand anyone on the team and wished he just sat with brendon, but it was mandatory so he had no choice.

as he was listening to mark talk about God knows what, his phone buzzed in his pocket. he pulled it out to see a text from josh.

josh: stop staring at me, creep.

tyler glanced towards josh's table and playfully flipped him off. josh just laughed and rolled his eyes.

smiling, he turned his attention back towards his teammates but saw jenna out of the corner of his eye and he sighed. he couldn't break up with jenna but he doesn't want to stop doing things with josh. he needed to come up with a plan quick before it all backfires in his face.

whenever lunch was over he quickly jogged towards jenna. he tapped her shoulder and she turned around and smiled.

"hey ty." she said brightly.

"we need to talk." he said. she furrowed her eyebrows in confusion. "about what?" she asked.

tyler quickly came up with an excuse. "I don't think we should be all touchy during school," he started.

"I don't really like pda and I feel like it's an invasion of our privacy." he lied scratching the back of his head.

jenna smiled. "okay! was this it?" she asked. he nodded his head and she quickly pecked him one last time before walking to class.

"that was easier than I thought." he hummed.

"good thing...the principal..isn't in here-fuck tyler." josh said in between kisses.

after their detention, tyler immediately pushed josh onto one of the desks and attacked his lips. he smirked into the kiss and placed his lips onto josh's jaw and began sucking.

josh looked at him with deep eyes as he let out soft pants, letting tyler do whatever he wanted to him. tyler trailed his lips down to josh's neck before he abruptly stopped.

josh sat up and looked at him confused. "w-what? why'd you stop?"

tyler smirked and grabbed a mop. "these floors aren't gonna mop themselves."

josh groaned and hopped of the table, grabbing a mop. "have I ever told you how much I fucking hate you?" he asked.

tyler just hummed innocently. "I don't think you have."

"well I fucking hate you."

once they were done, they both were putting the supplies back in the closest when tyler spoke without much thought.

"are you hungry?" he asked. "we could run by sonic if you want?"

josh smiled and nodded his head.

when they got in the car, tyler connected his aux and played radiohead. josh sighed in content as he began humming to the music.

as they were driving josh asked him a question. "why date jenna if you knew you didn't have romantic feelings towards her?"

tyler gripped the steering wheel tightly, not really wanting to answer. "because my family isn't so accepting and I knew I couldn't come out. so I dated jenna."

josh's facial expressions softed. "i'm really sorry. that must suck." he said sincerely.

tyler gave him a smile. "it's okay. once you pretend for so long you learn to become good at it."

josh was going to say more but they pulled up to sonic. tyler pushed the red button and waited for someone to speak, when they did, he ordered their food.

"a redbull slushie? you're disgusting." josh said scrunching up his nose.

tyler gasped. "you don't like redbull?"

"absolutely not."

tyler unlocked the doors. "get out of my car right now." he joked.

josh rolled his eyes. "and why would I do that? you paid for my meal it would be rude not to eat it."

it was tyler's turn to roll his eyes. "you're absolutely ridiculous."

without much thought, tyler grabbed josh's hand. he looked at josh and saw him slightly smile.

"is this okay?" he asked. josh nodded and gripped it harder. tyler really liked the way this all felt.

when their food and drinks came, tyler relased it only to grab their food and pay and then he grabbed it again. they ate their food in comfortable silence, letting the music play softly in the background. once they were done josh thanked him.

"don't thank me, thank brendon. he lost a bet and this was the money I received."

josh let out a laugh and shook his head. "take me home, loser."
