Hylia saw him, across the battlefield. He was wounded, badly. Demise had done a great number on him, her chosen hero. She ran over, kneeling down next to him and lifting his head with her arm.

"Your Grace?" He asked, quietly, but Hylia quickly shushed him. "It's to late for me.."

Hylia looked down at him, her hero, Link. She swallowed, rubbing at her eyes with the hand that wasn't holding Link. He smiled at her, bringing one of his hands up to her face and rubbing it. Hylia leaned into it, holding his hand against her face.

"Don't be sad.." He said, "I want to see your smile one more time.."

Hylia laughed a little, sniffling slightly but she smiled for him. He smiled at her again, before falling limp in her arms. His hand dropped from her face.

"Link?" She asked, holding his head now with both arms. He didn't respond, Hylia hugging him and falling against his unmoving chest, sobbing. She sat up after a moment, rubbing her eyes.

"I'll.. I'll give up my current form to be with you in our next life, okay?" Hylia remained holding him, slouching a little. Her whole front was covered with blood and mud. She mumbled something, a spell, feeling her immortality leave her. Hylia fell over her hero, their bodies staying like that until someone found them.

The heavens and world cry over their bodies, the Goddess and her Chosen Hero gone.

m y b a d, I didn't mean to write something sad, but here we are. feel free to scream at/with me, I'll be on for at least another 10 minutes or so.

note for newbies: this is, by no means, canon but just my little interpretation of what could have happened if nintendo actually took on the chosen hero aspect from the magna.

thanks for reading!! bye bye!!
