'Mi-Na,' Sam's voice invaded my mind. I looked at the alpha while he was in his jet black wolf form.
'What,' I asked sitting on my haunches.
'Follow me,' He instructed, he led me to the back where the others were sitting, all in their wolf forms. I felt confused as to why they were in their wolf forms.
'Uh,' I said, 'Why are you all in your wolf forms?'
'To make you more comfortable,' Seth said excitedly, his tail moving sharply back and forth to show said excitement.
'Thanks, you guys, but you didn't have to do that,' I said, one of them let out a hack which I guess was supposed to be a scoff.
'Please,' That time it was Paul, 'You are our pack sister so we are going to make you feel comfortable.'
I attempted to grin but I think it made it look like I was snarling so I quickly stopped, 'I appreciate it.'
"Mi-Na," I heard my imprint's voice and I growled lowly before turning to him. I looked at him. I waited on him to say something.
"Mi-Na, I'm sorry for the pain I just put you through," He said, I approached him with my teeth bared.
'Mi-Na, don't even try. If he is willing to put you through the pain knowing you are his imprint, he is willing to continue it.'
'I need clothes,' I said into the mind link before disappearing into the woods to hopefully change back with out any difficulties, 'And I need help changing back.'
As if Emily could read my thoughts, she came out with my clothes from my bag. I walked up to her and licked her hand in appreciation before taking my clothes. I walked back to the woods and Sam began to speak.
"Think of yourself as a human," He said, "Happy thoughts."
I started to do just that and soon I was standing up on my two feet. I slipped on my clothes. I sighed.
"Emily," I said approaching the Luna of our pack, "Would you mind cutting my hair? It's waist long."
"I don't mind," She said before nodding to the door. I followed her in and she sat me down in a seat, "How short are you looking to make it?"
"Shoulder, maybe a little longer."
She immediately went to work on my hair. Soon I felt her stop and brush off any extra hair.
"There ya go," She said, "Go check it out."
I went to the bathroom to look in the mirror. I liked how my hair turned out and immediatley thanked her.
"So, how does it feel to be a wolf now," Emily asked.
"I haven't decided yet," I said, "I don't even know if I want this for me."
She, along with my pack brothers and sister, furrowed their brows.
"Well," Embry said, "Why not?"
"I have been told that we stop aging after we phase then start aging again once we stop phasing. Why would anyone want that? To remain the same age until you decided that you were tired of it all?"
"Do you know what the purpose of this pack is," Sam asked wrapping his arms around Emily.
"Protecting people from the cold ones," I said.
"Exactly," He said, "We are meant to help for centuries."
I huffed, "But I still don't get it. What if one of you imprint's on a human, much like Sam and Emily? You literally watch your soul mate age while you don't."
"Not so much," Sam said putting a stop to me, "The imprint is strong enough to keep both partners from aging which means we remain the same age until I decide to stop phasing."
"Really? I have never been told that," I said.
"Maybe you shouldn't go off what others tell you unless they really know what it was like," Emily said.
"You're right," I said, "I'm sorry for doubting all this."
"Don't apologise," Jake said, "I was the same way when I first phased."
"Maybe this won't be so bad," I said. One of them scoffed.
"Wait until he sends you on patrol," Paul said, "That truly sucks ass."
I cocked an eyebrow at him before shaking my head at him.
"Now, Mi-Na," Sam said, "I want you to stay her for a couple weeks until you get a handle on your phasing. I don't want you to hurt your brother or sister if you anger slips."
"I should be fine," I said.
"Really," Paul asked, "You literally got pissed because Jared said he had a girlfriend."
I glared harshly at him before leaving the house. I felt my body start to shake.
Fuck Jared Cameron.
I heard my clothes shred, again, before finding myself on all fours.
Not again with the clothes.
I sighed before trudging my way into the woods, I found an opening and laid down in it. I felt the wind blow through my fur and the rain felt nice but it didn't really have a chance to soak me since my body temperature. I heard a howl but ignored and focused on the pain that was slowly increasing. I whimpered since I was alone.
I absolutely hate this feeling. The pain. Everything to do with the imprint.
I heard a whimper behind me causing me to look. It was one of the guys but I wasn't too sure as to who it was.
'Which one are you,' I asked.
'Who do you think,' Jake's voice came through. He approached me and laid down, 'Now, tell me what's wrong?"
'I can't, I know they are listening,' I said laying my head on my paws and looking over at my cousin.
'Well let's get you phased back in to your human form and dressed, we can go hang out at my place. I'm sure dad would love to have you over.'
I nodded in agreement. I followed him back to Sam's house and hid behind a bush while Emily brought me clothes, again.
I thanked her once I was able to speak before following Jake to his house.
