It was the next day and I was currently getting ready to leave to help with finishing up the new house. With that being in mind, I found a pair of non-holey capris and a plain tank top. Something to help keep the dirt off me but keep me cool enough.
I slipped on a pair of old beaten up Nike shoes and woke Jared up from his deep sleep that he managed to put himself in.
"Jare, time to get up. We gotta get going to the new house," I said, "Today is the last day."
He grunted before rolling over onto his back, letting his arms fall on to the pillow above his head.
"What time is it?"
"9:45 am," I said, "And I am about to go make breakfast."
He perked up at the thought of breakfast before fully readying himself to get out of bed. He slipped on a pair of cargo shorts and shoes. His usual attire.
He kissed me, leaving a smile on my face.
"You look beautiful today," He said.
"And you look as good as usual," I said kissing him again, "Now come on, I think I smell food."
We walked out and into the kitchen, meeting mom who was already making breakfast.
"I was going to do that," I said.
"Oh, I don't mind," She said, "You guys have a busy day today."
I smiled and kissed her on the cheek, "You are the best," I said, she smiled.
"Thanks, sweetheart."
She handed us each a plate of food and we sat down.
"Is the twins coming to help as well," I asked.
"No, Cauā is helping Billy around the house since Jake has been busy with the pack and I believe Seth is taking your sister out on a date."
I smiled, "Oh, my baby sister is growing up so fast."
Mom chuckled as I heard Jaci's door close, I looked back and found her wearing a slightly warmer outfit since its starting to become a bit cooler out. She wore a pair of jeans and a plain t-shirt. Mom passed her a plate and Jaci joined us.
"Where is Cauā anyways," I asked, "Did Billy already call him over?"
"He did," Mom said, "He said something about getting a head start to the day."
I nodded, I took a bite of the pancake that laid, drenched in syrup. I sighed happily as I took another bite.
"You hungry," Jared asked amused.
"I am," I smiled, "Plus mom is a really good cook."
"Thank you, sweetie," She said, "Now eat up. Sam and Emily are expecting you both."
We quickly finished up our food and got up, I kissed my mom on the cheek and we left, Jared decided to phase and nudged my leg in the direction of his back. I climbed on and gripped his fur before giving him the go head. He started off into the woods and barreled his way through the dead limbs that laid on the ground.
"Woo, that was a rush," I said sliding off his back after reaching the house. Everyone was currently waiting outside.
"Sorry we are late, this one didn't want to get up," I said with a thumb pointing at Jared.
"Wrong," He said, "You didn't wake me up until 9:45 thank you very much."
"Well what ever the reason is, forget it. We have a house to work on," Sam said, he started to assign the guys and Leah parts of the house that needed finished while I went and helped Emily with the garden.
"So, what all do we need to do first," I asked after making a few holes in the soil.
"I need to get that giant pot of flowers over here," She pointed, "And don't you dare lift it, Mi-Na."
I groaned but nodded. She left to get one of the guys to get it for us.
I felt useless since I couldn't do anything I normally do and felt the tears come to my eyes.
"Oh, sweetie," Emily said sitting in front of me, "What's wrong?"
"I feel useless. I can't do anything wolfy since I became pregnant."
She laughed a bit, "Mi-Na, look at me right now," I looked up at her, "I don't want to hear that from you ever again, you understand me? Because you do a lot and you don't even realize it. You bring joy to us all. You put up with the guys without a problem. You make Jared happy. And you are carrying two very beautiful babies inside you."
I sniffled and she wiped my tears away like a mother does.
"Now no more crying, okay?"
I nodded, one of the guys set the plant pot down across from us.
"Everything okay," It wasn't hard to tell the voices apart.
"Yeah, she was just having a moment," Emily said stretching the lie a little.
"Okay," Quil said with worry still laced in his voice. He left and we went back to gardening. It was much more peaceful out here.
"I think I might get into gardening after this," I said, Emily smiled.
"Well until you both get your own place, you are more than welcome to come here and garden."
I thanked her.
"Wanna help me make food for the pack?"
I nodded, we both stood up and walked around toward the front of the house to find Sam hanging a swing from the tree limb. There so happens to be a tree that was growing in the middle of the porch so the guys built the porch around it.
"Hey, Mi-Na and I are going back to the house to make you guys some food real quick."
Sam nodded, kissing Emily. I went inside and went on a small search for Jared who I found in the bedroom upstairs, painting.
I covered my mouth and nose so I wouldn't breathe in the fumes, "Hey, baby."
He turned and he had a paint streak on his cheek and forehead. I giggled.
"What are you laughing at?"
"You have paint on your face," I giggled some more as he attempted to wipe it off, only to get off a little, "That didn't work. But I wanted to tell you that Emily and I are heading back to the house to make you guys some food."
He nodded, kissing me.
"I would kiss you longer but I can't breathe in paint fumes."
"Well then get outta here," He joked, I rolled my eyes and smacked his ass as he turned back towards the wall he was painting.
"Hey," he said with a light tone, "No hitting the painter."
"I will hit the ass if I want," I sassed before giggling and leaving the room quickly as I knew he would react quickly. I ran down the stairs and out the front door. Emily was already in her car qnd I joined her.
"Sorry, I was letting Jared know I was leaving."
She nodded, "It's fine," she backed into the yard a little and turned around, "I need to take up that grass and put gravel down."
I took mental note of it as we pulled up to the old house.
