"I love you, call me when you have time, okay?" My mom says, kissing my cheek and giving me a hug.

"I will, ma, love you too," I say, feeling guilt and stress lift off my shoulders.

"You seem much happier," Conan points out once we make it to the car, sending me a heart fluttering grin, "you should visit them more often. I can tell you miss them."

"Yeah, but I have work and everything. The schedule is kind of hard to get around."

"Don't worry, we can figure something out," he replies, pulling out of the driveway and waving to my two family members.

I smile and nod, facing the window. He speaks up again, this time just questioning my hunger.

"Nah, Ethan and I had some Taco Bell. Are you?- never mind," I say, feeling my face bloom into a light pink.

"Nope, had some thirium lemonade with your mom," he teases, making me shake my head.

We sit in the music, letting it flood into our heads. Rolling down my window, my hair waves from the wind.

-

"Hey Gav, can I ask you a question?" Conan asks suddenly, getting out of the car, making my head turn toward him.

"Sure Co, what's up?" I tilt my head in question, following and pushing the door shut with a small force.

"Why do you hate androids so much?"

My actions pause for a minute before I look at him with poison in my eyes, "do you seriously have the fucking audacity to ask that question?" I snap, my whole happy aura dropping.

"It was just a question, I understand if you don't want to tell me. I've just been wondering-"

"It's not just a fucking question to me. You should know that. I'm sure you went through my damn file."

"Why do you always have to get like this? I say one thing and suddenly you're all defensive," he says, anger plain on his face.

"It's not my fault that you're such a fucking idiot and ask ignorant questions!" I yell, "you should fucking know why I hate you things!"

"You're such an asshole!" he yells, stepping forward and placing his hands on my chest, shoving me so hard that I'm knocked off my feet, scraping my hands along the cement. His face goes from anger to regret, "Gavin-"

"Get the fuck away from me," I growl, my heart beating rapidly as I push away the panic attack that's building up in my chest. "Stay the fuck away from me, you heartless, plastic, machine!" I scream, my breaths beginning to go uneven.

Pushing myself up, my trembling legs run to the front door and into the elevator. I run towards my apartment after hearing the elevator ding. Unlocking the door quickly, I slam it closed. My unstable body collapses, leaving me to fend for myself as my vision gets darker and narrower. It looked as if I were looking through a kaleidoscope. The shortness of breath causes strong chest pains. Sobs leave my throat as I suck in as much air as I could. I felt weak, physically and mentally.

An abrupt wave of drowsiness hits me, and soon, I cry myself asleep right in front of the door.
