Conan and I walk out of the police department, the sun already out of sight. It was still bright enough to see where I was going, but it was snowing. I was visibly shivering, and I knew Conan noticed by the way he looked over.

He stops walking, quickly slipping off his jacket and putting it around my shoulders, "I'll drive."

We walk to the car quickly and I jump into the passenger seat, sighing in relief as I didn't have the wind slapping me in the face anymore.

"I didn't know it was going to snow today," my boyfriend says, "I checked the weather earlier."

"The weather is changing all the time. No biggie. Also, why the FUCK is your jacket so warm?" I ask, noticing how quickly it had heated my body up.

"Just in case I don't freeze, Cyberlife put in heaters after finding out that a lot of androids had frozen over during last year's harsh winter."

"Fucking lucky ass... why can't humans make jackets like that?" I whine like a child.

"Because making jackets like that would defeat the purpose of a lot of winter coats so companies wouldn't make as much money. Basically, humans are greedy fuckers," he laughs, bringing a smile to my face.

"I love when you swear. And laugh. It's so funny and cute. It's like listening to a child swear, but it's you. And you're cuter than children," I shrug, watching out of the front windshield as he drives us home.

"Thank you. I have learned from the best," he says, hinting towards me.

"That you did," I agree, chuckling a bit.

As we sit in silence, I think back to this morning. He had looked upset at the fact that, that android had died.

"Co?"

"Yes, Gav?" he answers, using his nickname for me.

"Why did you look so upset when you found out that, that android had shut down?" I ponder to him, letting my gaze move towards the side of his head.

His eyebrows raise in surprise, not knowing how to respond, but doing so anyway, "I think it's just that we know he was getting abused. It was obvious. And the fact that he just wanted to be free, but was only be free for such a small amount of time is quite upsetting. No one should get abused by anyone. It's not r-right..." his voice cracks and my head snaps to his eyes, my eyes widening as I see a tear escape.

"Oh jesus, Conan, baby," I say, worry filling my heart as I watch him wipe it away before stopping and looking at the water on his hand. I grasp his hand in mine as he continues to drive.

"Let's talk more at inside," he says, pulling into the parking lot and getting out, not letting me respond.

I quickly follow, my heart hurting at the sight of him upset. I take his hand in mine as we step inside the elevator.

"It's crazy how many androids end up getting shut down after murdering someone when actually, they were defending themselves," he speaks, looking away from me.

"I know. So let's try and break that chain. Androids have rights now. We can't make a huge difference, but we can try, right?"

He nods, squeezing my hand and letting it go. We hear the ding and walk forward, my apartment being two doors down and to the left.

"Thank you, Gavin, I appreciate it," he says, kissing my hand after I unlock the door.

"Anything for you," I cheekily say, a smile appearing on my face once again.
