Soulmates Book 2 = Ming-Kit Story

Chapter 1

Kit was really irritated. He had just fallen to sleep when he received a call from Beam. He thought it was an emergency call but it turned out that Beam only wanted to ask whether he had dated any guy before, based on the dreams of the same guy that he had every single day. It was really absurd to be asked such question when Beam himself never told them about his love life, not even once.

Kit grunted as he looked at his wall clock and realised that he had another few hours before his time to wake up and get ready for work. He was still sleepy and decided to continue with his sleep. But he made a really bad decision. And as the result, he woke up later than he was supposed to be. If Phana didn't bombard him with his morning call every minute, he probably will still be lying comfortably under his duvet.

- Damn, that so called friend, Beam!... This was all his fault!... Kit cursed as he rushed to the bathroom to freshen up since Phana was already waiting for him in the car at the basement... Kit felt like he was in a marathon... dressing up for work in a flash... and had no time to groom himself properly as usual... He grabbed his bag and all the essentials that he had to bring to work and once he was out of his apartment and locked the white door... he dashed down to the basement using the emergency staircase... to make up for the time that he had wasted.

Phana was already out of his car... walking back and forth, whilst looking at his watch... Kit was already five minutes late and yet no sign of that petite guy emerging from the elevator section... He sighed and tried to call Kit once again, afraid that he might go back to sleep.

- Pha!!... Phana startled as he heard a loud yell coming from behind... He swiftly turned around and smirked as he saw his bestfriend's pale face... and the guy was practically dragging his feet towards him.

- You're late!

- I know... I know... This is all Beam's fault... Kit was trying to catch his breath whilst getting into Phana's Hummer.

- What do you mean?... Why do you say that Beam has to do with you're being late?... Phana was curious. He couldn't see the connection at all.

- He called me so early in the morning and disturbed my precious sleep!

- So?

- You see Pha... I really need my sleep... Since it was still early... I decided to continue my sleep... but I didn't realise that I have slept passed my waking time... If only I didn't receive that call... I probably wouldn't be in such a mess... Kit whined in dissatisfaction... By the way... sorry for making you wait for me, Pha.

- It's okay, Kit... But why did Beam call you so early?

- He was talking about his dream... He said that he had been dreaming about the same person repeatedly... He asked me if he had dated a guy before... But how should I know?

- That's really absurd... Phana mumbled under his breath... Maybe he already encounter with the person in his dream... That's why he had been dreaming about the same guy.

Kit paused and thought about Phana's theory.
- Maybe... You could be right about it... He agreed... Why don't we interrogate him more about his weird dream... Then we can know exactly what could be the reason for that dream to appear so frequently... Or perhaps we can find out the possibilities that probably could trigger that dream to happen.... Kit suggested... He suddenly became interested as Phana had put it that way.

- Yup... maybe we should... Err... Kit, if you're still sleepy... go ahead and sleep... I'll wake you up when we arrived at the hospital.

- Can I?

Phana nodded and gestured him to take a nap.

- Thank you, Pha... Kit pushed the car seat back down a little before he made himself comfortable and slept like a little kitten.
