Soulmates Book 2 = Ming-Kit Story

Chapter 7

Kit turned away and began to walk back to the canteen... He had seen enough... He knew that Ming didn't resent Zo that much... Ming still couldn't forget about Zo... He didn't push Zo when the guy had hugged him... It was Wayo who had pushed Zo off him.

- Dr. Kit!!... Wait for me please!!... Ming yelled as he chased after Kit who had quickened his pace.

Kit ignored Ming and paced faster.

- Dr. Kit!... Stop!... Ming grabbed Kit's left arm and pulled him to stop.

- Let go of me Mr. Ming... Kit stated sternly.

- No!!... not until you hear what I want to say... Ming replied and dragged Kit to the nearest emergency staircase where no one was around, to talk with Kit in private... He opened the metal door and forced Kit towards the staircase... then as the door was closed, Ming pushed Kit with his back against the metal door and trapped that doctor between his arms as he put his palms on that door.

- What the hell are you doing Mr. Ming??!!

- I need to tell you that Zo means nothing to me anymore.

- Okay... You have told me... Can I go now?

- There's more.

Kit stayed silent and waited.

- I'm still going to court you.

- Okay... Anything else?

- Get angry with me Dr. Kit.

- Not in the mood.

- Please get angry... That's the only way I know that we're okay... Ming pleaded.

- Don't want to... Kit replied with no emotion.

- Dr. Kit........

- Let me go!!

- You're mad??... aren't you?

- Noo....

- Tell me, Dr. Kit... Why did you follow me?

- It was on my way to the restroom... I didn't follow you.

- Then... why did you stop and watched us?

- Because of curiosity.

- Dr. Kit... Please forgive me.

- Did you do anything wrong to me?... And why should you apologize for?... We're still strangers, if I may say so.

- We're not strangers....... Dr. Kit.... And I apologised because I think I might had hurt you... And I'm trying to explain to you so you won't misunderstand... Ming peered down at Kit's cute face.

Kit exhaled a long sigh and stared down at his black leather shoes.

- If you're done talking... can you please release me?

- I'm not satisfied... This is not the reaction that I want.

- I have to work... Please let me go.

- I need a sign Dr. Kit... A sign that shows I'm forgiven.

- Let me ask you a question... Why didn't you push him?... Why did you let him hug you?... Don't ever think that I'm being jealous or anything... But... anyone in the right mind... won't let his or her previous lover to do that at all... Especially if that previous lover had done something unforgiven... Kit stated with his brows furrowed.

Ming smiled... His grin broadened when Kit had finally became himself again.

- Why the hell are you smiling?

- Thank you Dr. Kit.

- Now I'm confused... Kit shook his head in annoyance.

- This is the grumpy person that I like... Ming laughed and embraced Dr. Kit.

- Woah!!... When did I give you permission to hug me?... Let go of me!!... Kit pushed Ming off him with all the strength he had... and as soon as he was freed, he quickly shoved Ming further from him and walked out of the emergency staircase.

- Dr. Kit!... Thank you!... Ming yelled at Kit who had scurried back to the canteen... Then he jumped happily as he made his way back to his car.

Kit couldn't contain his smile as he approached Phana who was still waiting for him at their table.

- Hmm... someone is happy... Is everything okay with you and Ming?... Phana questioned his friend.

- Err...

- Stop hiding the truth Kit.... You can never hide anything from me... Phana stated confidently.

Kit grinned and nodded sheepishly.
- Yeah, everything is fine.

- I'm glad... Now, let's get going... We're late already... Phana stood up, hooked his arm around Kit's shoulders and led the small doctor to the elevator.
