Soulmates Book 2 = Ming-Kit Story

Chapter 17

Nothing could be fascinating enough than watching Kit interacting with the kids whilst checking their health to see if any of them needed treatment or medication for them to stay healthy. Kit was really good on handling them... Ming was amused by Kit's gentleness, coaxing the kids to take their medicine and consoled them after giving those kids an injection... He was totally different when he was not grumpy and moody as usual... Ming could'nt tear his eyes off Kit, even when he was doing his own task, helping the big kids cleaning the orphanage... He was having so much fun with the kids but at the same time he was contented that he got to watch Kit showing off his skill.

It was a really good day for everyone indeed... but a scream that was heard from a girl who had bursted into the orphanage, had changed the atmosphere in that orphanage instantly... It was not a typical scream that they heard normally, but a scream of terror and panic, shouting that Beam had been stabbed.

Forth and the two doctors had ran out to look for Beam and when they came back, everyone was surprised to see the bleeding Beam... The calmness cracked at the moment the kids saw Beam and began to weep... The peaceful morning became chaotic... Ming and Wayo had to gather the kids to console and comforted them as they waited for Phana and Kit attending Beam's wound.

For the first time in Ming's life, he saw how Kit calmly reacted to the emergency situation... He was really proud and respected Kit for being so calmed even though the person injured was his bestfriend... However, Ming knew that deep down, Kit was filled with mix emotions, but he chose not to show it to anyone.

The kids had started to calm down as they waited nervously for the news regarding Beam's condition... and once Kit had came down smiling, as he went to tell Forth that Beam was looking for him, they were relieved and knew immediately that Beam was okay, judging by Kit's smiling face.

Ming looked at Kit who had smiled to him before Kit went out to take a breather... Ming followed him because he was worried about the guy... And he could feel that his heart sank when he saw Kit was shedding some tears.

Ming walked over to Kit who was sitting quietly under a gazebo and embraced him. 

- Are you okay, Kit?... He brushed Kit's hair gently to soothe him.

Kit shook his head and leaned his head on Ming's chest and cried silently... Ming sighed and tightened his embrace around Kit as he rocked Kit to calm him whilst singing a song softly to soothe his sad doctor.

- Thank you for being here with me... Kit uttered as he finally calmed down... As a doctor, he usually was calmed when he handled an emergency case liked this... but when it came to his own bestfriend, he couldn't stop himself from being so emotional... He was relieved that he managed to hide his emotion in front of Phana and Beam whilst attending the wound... but once it was done, the feeling of losing someone closer began to take over his body and mind.

- No need to thank me... I love to be here with you... Ming answered and kissed the top of Kit's head.

- How are the kids doing?... They must be scared... Even I was scared when I saw Beam's condition.

- They are fine... Don't worry about them.

- But look at them... They are not as happy as before.

- I know... But we can change that... You and me.

- How?

- Come... Follow me to my jeep... I have brought something with me... Wayo scolded me for bringing them, but I had a feeling that we may need them... and I guess my gut feeling was right... This is the right moment for us to use them to make the kids happy again... Ming said as they walked to the jeep.
