Soulmates Book 2 = Ming-Kit Story

Chapter 5

Kit huffed as he walked towards the canteen... He was really tired after two days of working nonstop... Phana was already there when he arrived... The only person that was missing, was Beam who was supposed to join them for breakfast.

- Morning Pha... Kit greeted the tall doctor.

- Do you have a rough night?

- Yup!... Too many patients came to the emergency room last night... I couldn't even take a nap at all... Kit whined and yawned whilst cupping his mouth.

- Here... take this coffee... I know you need it... Phana chuckled and pushed the polisterine cup that contained hot black coffee... Something that every doctor needs to be able to stay awake... even though they know that caffeine ain't good for their health.

- Thank you... Kit felt refreshed a little after sipping the black coffee that Phana gave him... I guessed Beam is not going to join us today.

- Well... it's an emergency... Since he's Forth's doctor, he has to be there for Forth... I just hope that Forth didn't do anything that could harm himself or other people around him... especially Beam... Phana said whilst gestured Kit to eat the donut that he had bought for them whilst took one for himself.

- Thanks... Kit said and began to eat in silence... His body was there sitting next to Phana but his mind was thinking deeply about Ming.

- Kit... Phana called for his friend but there was no respond coming from Kit at all... Kit!... He called once again a little louder than before.

- Err... Yes Pha?

- You were daydreaming... Phana said with his brows furrowed.

- Am I?... Kit huffed and leaned back against his chair.

- Thinking about someone?

- Who?... Kit asked back.

- Ming perhaps?... Phana guessed as he bit on his donut that was covered with chocolate syrup... It was his favourite.

- Probably... Kit replied hesitantly.

- Be specific Kit... Phana demanded.

Kit sighed and bit more of his plain donut.
- He told me that he wanted to court me Pha... Don't you think it's weird?... He replied whilst chewing the donut.

- It's not weird to me... Phana shook his head.

- Well... I do think he's charming and attractive... but seriously Pha?... Me and him?... Don't you think it's kind of funny?... I don't think we're suitable at all... We both are totally different from each other.

- Have you ever heard of opposite attracts?... Phana asked whilst raised his eyebrows.

- Yeah I heard about it.... But that doesn't mean that we're compatible.

- Do you like him... Kit?... Phana asked as he finished off his donut and sucked his fingers that covered with chocolate syrup.

- I'm... fascinated by him, yes... But I'm not really sure if it can be called as like, yet.

- Well... from my point of view... I think you like him... the same as I like Wayo.

- Pha... anyone can tell that you like Wayo... you make it so obvious to everyone.

Phana laughed and shook his head profusely.
- I'm so transparent aren't I?... No wonder he kept his distance from me... He must be scared of me.

- Wayo is not scared... I think he is just like me... We both are surprised because we're being approached by another guy.

- Hmm... the way you put it... then you do like Ming.... Phana pointed out to him.

Kit paused and thought back on what he had said.
- Jeez... I really don't know anymore... He sighed and ate the rest of his donut... Pha... is that Beam?... He asked as he saw a familiar figure approaching them with someone next to him... Who is that guy walking next to him?... He couldn't tell who that person was since they were still far away.

- That must be Forth... Phana replied.

Kit took a look again and smiled... Phana was right... It was Forth... No doubt about it... He guessed that the soulmates thing had become the real deal for them... seeing how closed they were... Kit was really happy for Beam... that he finally had found someone that could potentially be his soulmate.

Suddenly Kit was reminded by what Ming had said to him... Was he really a perfect candidate for his soulmate?... Could that really happen?... Kit had no answer for it, but he did like to hear that he was someone soulmate... He really hoped that it would happen sooner so he wouldn't feel lonely anymore.
