Soulmates Book 2 = Ming-Kit Story

Chapter 3

- Kit where are you?... The first thing that Phana asked when Kit had answered his phone.

- I'm on my way Pha... I've just finished my duty... Kit replied whilst walking towards the elevator... Can you buy lunch for me first?

- Sure... but what do you want to eat?

- You choose for me... Kit said since he couldn't make up his mind in such a short notice.

- Okay... But you have to eat whatever I buy for you.

- Thanks Pha... Kit smiled as he hung up and entered the elevator.

It took only a few minutes for the elevator to finally stop at the level that Kit had chosen... As soon as the door was opened, Kit rushed out and accidentally had bumped into someone who was walking passed by him.
- Sorry... He quickly apologized.

- It's okay... The guy said briefly and left immediately without even looking at Kit.

Kit stared at the guy's back... The guy seemed so familiar and he felt that they had met before... But he couldn't relate the time and place of their meeting... He watched the guy until he had disappeared from his sight... then rushed quickly to the canteen where he supposed to meet his friends to discuss about Beam, who had finally met the man that appeared in his dreams.

- Fried rice Pha?... You know I can't finish all this... This is too much for me... Kit whined and looked at the sandwich that Phana was eating... Why didn't you buy fried rice for yourself as well?... He grunted.

- Because I know that you won't finish your fried rice... I will be the one who will end up finishing it all... Phana replied calmly.

Kit grinned happily... At least he knew now that the fried rice wouldn't be wasted.

- But still... I want to see you eat as much as you can.

- Aye aye Dr. Pha.... Kit laughed and began to eat his food... He had eaten only a few spoons of his fried rice when suddenly Beam sat next to them and took the spoon out of his hand and began to eat his fried rice.

Beam looked really hungry, so Kit let Beam indulged on his fried rice... He even gave the permission for Beam to finish the whole plate... Phana realised what Kit was doing... Kit had used that excuse to escape from eating... Phana quickly gave half of his sandwich and gestured Kit to eat... Kit was hesitant at first but he knew Phana meant well... So he took it and began to eat that sandwich diligently.

Phana began to interrogate Beam about the guy he met and it turned out that the person was Forth... a patient that Kit had treated the first time he was brought in... Suddenly it hit Kit... The guy he had bumped that day was the guy who had brought Forth to the hospital.

Beam was telling them that Forth was having the same dreams as him... It was really absurd... They were trying to figure out the logical explanation for the dreams to appear... Even through the scientific explanation... But one thing came straight to Kit's mind that could be the possible answer.

- Could it be that's because you two are soulmates?... Kit voiced out his opinion.

But both Beam and Phana had a hard time to accept that he could be right since it sounded so spiritual.

- What if I'm right?... What if this is the fate that has been written by God for both of you?... The dreams you two were having, are the only way to tell that you two are meant for each- other in the real world... Kit added to make his point.

- Well... if you ask me... I think your friend is probably right... That's the best answer I had heard so far that can explained those bizarre dreams... A tall guy suddenly appeared in front of them and interrupted their conversation.

Kit was speechless... It was that guy... The guy that he had bumped earlier near the elevator and the same guy who had brought Forth to that hospital.
