The Shadows

Have you ever noticed that shadows of objects, or even yours, has been oddly shaped? Not matching the object is comes from?

Well that's because the shadow doesn't belong to the object, or you. It's a being of its own, pretending to be what it's not. These shadows were never human, and never will be. What they are is still unknown.

Perhaps they are spirits who have forgotten who they are, becoming nothing but a shadow of who they used to be. Maybe they aren't a spirit at all, instead just darkness taking shape of anything they please. Whatever they are, they are lurking all around you without your notice.

Every now and then, you may see them moving from the corner of your eye, but when you turn to see, they disappear. This is because they notice you noticing them, and when you're about to turn around, they quickly escape to blend in with the other shadows.

Since they don't have any physical body, or object, they have a difficult time making an exact copy of the shadow of what it's trying to copy. Maybe the shadow is too big, or perhaps too small. Maybe the wrong shade, or maybe its oddly slanted. Anything is possible.
