Howls in the Night

Tammy and her best friend Jill snuck out to go to a party and were driving home on a dark road, the only light around was being emitted from the headlights and the moon, both barely being enough to light up the dirt road ahead of them.

As Tammy drove her dark green 1987 pickup truck, Jill stared off into the distance where she could see a figure dash in and out of the trees that surrounded them. Watching whatever animal it was caused Jill to shiver, and she thought it was best to stop looking out of the window. Instead, Jill looked forward and out of the windshield where she watched the endless dirt road.

Out of the corner of her eye, Jill could still see the figure following them, getting closer and closer as it did so.  Jill tired ignoring it as best as she could, hoping it was just her imagination playing tricks on her. Eventually the figure disappeared as they drove on.

Tammy and Jill were almost back at Tammy's house when all of a sudden, the truck jolted back and the sound of metal shredding could be heard. Both of the girls panicked and started looking around to see if they ran over something. That's when they both saw the figure. It was a beast, covered in fur and had large teeth. The creature stood about six and a half feet tall, and its eyes were menacing, glowing red.

Screams and shrieks emitted from both of the girls mouths, and Tammy stepped on the gas, the pedal hit the carpeted floor, and the car lurched forward ,out of the monsters clawed hands. They sped forward and the wolf-like monster was fast in pursuit, trailing right behind them glowing red in the tail lights. They could feel their claws rip and shred the bumper.

In the distance Tammy and Jill could see city lights and tried driving faster hoping they could escape unharmed. As they got closer  and closer to the city, they noticed that the beast reluctantly slowed down, and soon came to a full stop then turned around and ran back into the forest. When Jill and Tammy got to Tammy's house, they quickly got out of the truck and went to the back to see the damage. The metal was completely shredded, and bloody fur and a sharp tooth was caught in some of shreds.
