CONNOR'S POV

Two and a half months have passed since I woke up... Many of my memories have returned, but none of them helped me to find my family. For example, I remembered that I love the scent of coconut and hyacinth, I can ride a skateboard and I'm allergic to pine nuts. A month ago Rose and I returned to DPD. As Hank's partner, I stayed in the homicide division, while my fiancée and Cameron dealt with the android cases. Although, Rose and I were no longer partners, but none of us mind it at all. We loved our job... Meanwhile, Markus, Genesis and the others achieved great success. A few weeks ago they visited Washington again and they have been consulted several times with President Cristina Warren. In short, everything was perfect...

It was Saturday, so Rose and I spent the beautiful April day at home. The wonderful scent of the the blooming cherry tree filled the air, while the blue sky was full of the joyful singing of the jays.

"Do you have a minute?" I asked Rose as I entered the living room with some freshly cut narcissus in my hand, then I put them into the vase on the coffee table.

"Of course!" she replied without hesitation as she closed Shakespeare's drama.

"I would like you to test something."

"The something what you were hiding from me for weeks?" she asked me with a tiny chuckle, making me smile.

"Yes! Just give me a second and I'll bring it."

"Don't worry! I'm patient." she remarked, then I hurried to the laboratory. I picked up a small black box from the desk, returned to the living room, then finally joined Rose on the couch. "A pair of contact lens?"

"Not simple contact lens... Just try it!" I encouraged her as she put the contact lens on with a smile on her face, then after a few blinks she looked at me with her moss green eyes. "Great!"

"And now?"

"Now look around in the living room and focus on the lens." I answered, then she did as I asked. Rose started walking in the living room, but a few seconds later she stopped in front of the drawer. At first, she glanced at her parents' photograph, then at her gun and finally at the freshly cut narcissus.

"Wow..." she whispered, continuing the walk.

"What do you see?"

"Everything..." she replied with a huge smile. "I can see my parents' all data in the personal records. I can see that the Latin name of the narcissus is narcissus pseudonarcissus. And I can see that my cinnamon roll contains 341 calories and 17mg cholesterol... What the hell?!" Rose asked in surprise as she looked at me. "How did you do that?"

"I used to work for CyberLife. Remember?"

"I know, but... This..." I walked closer to Rose as I let out a chuckle, then wrapped my arms around her waist.

"I made these for you to make your investigations easier." I admitted proudly. "If you use the contact lenses, then you can see the thirium, scan faces, analyze objects or animals. Oh, and... There is a GPS in it."

"You are awesome..."

"I know." I remarked in a playful voice, then we both started laughing. Soon Rose removed the contact lens, then we decided to spent the afternoon in one of the most beautiful parks in Detroit. Rose made some sandwiches, while I feed the dogs, then I joined her in the kitchen.

"I was wondering... At the next weekend we should visit Lake Michigan." Rose advised, chopping up some fresh lettuces. "You have no idea how beautiful the forest is in the spring. What do you say?"

I was just a machine, but it wasn't really me... (Connor x OC) D: BHWhere stories live. Discover now
