Emma Swan, ever the master of last-minute maneuvers, found herself embarking on a frantic shopping spree for school supplies. With characteristic flair, she had procrastinated until the final day, relying on the adrenaline rush of imminent deadlines to propel her into action. The enigma of procrastination remained an unsolved puzzle for Emma, much like the mysteries of existence itself. "If only I had a personal assistant," she mused wistfully, her mind forever wandering in a sea of daydreams. Lost in thought, Emma departed from her apartment building and set out along the bustling street below. Contemplating her plan of action, she decided to combine errands with exercise, opting to walk to the store and then catch the bus home—a pragmatic solution to both fulfill her daily quota of movement and economize on transportation expenses.

The day unfolded with a gentle warmth, prompting Emma to opt for the lengthier and more picturesque path through the park opposite her apartment. Amidst the serene tableau, the park bustled with activity—children frolicking with Frisbees, others engaged in playful antics with their canine companions, while cyclists, skateboarders, and joggers traversed the winding paths. Amidst the familiar scenes, Emma's attention was drawn to an elderly couple, their hands intertwined as they savored a leisurely stroll—a poignant reminder of enduring love amidst the transient nature of modern relationships. Reflecting on her own tumultuous past—the bitter aftermath of her parents' divorce, the acrimonious custody battle with her brother Neal, and her mother's triumph over her father's betrayal—Emma wrestled with conflicting emotions. Despite her father's shortcomings, she cherished the memories of his unwavering love and support, reluctant to relinquish her hope for reconciliation. Suppressing the tide of negativity, Emma sought solace within the sanctuary of a nearby bookstore, determined to immerse herself in the comforting embrace of literature.

Navigating the aisles lined with books, Emma found herself deliberating over her selections. "Hmm, not that... or that," she mused, her discerning gaze sweeping over the array of titles. Searching for a tome that would capture her imagination, her eyes alighted upon "The Riding School." A grin tugged at the corners of her lips as she envisioned her friend Ruby's enthusiasm for equestrian tales. "Oh, what a perfect find for Ruby!" she chuckled to herself, the prospect of sharing the discovery with her friend adding a playful spark to her thoughts.

After perusing the shelves for a while, Emma selected another book and flipped it over to read the blurb. Yet again, her interest failed to be piqued, prompting her to return it to its place on the shelf. It was then that she heard a woman's voice behind her, uttering words of wisdom with a low, husky timbre that carried a strangely soothing allure. "It is a capital mistake to theorize before you have all the evidence. It biases the judgment." Intrigued by the unexpected commentary, Emma turned to face the speaker, her curiosity piqued by the mysterious woman whose presence seemed to exude an enigmatic charm.

"Excuse me?" Emma's gaze lifted to identify the source of the melodic voice, and to her astonishment, she beheld a strikingly beautiful woman. Clad in a form-fitting black pencil dress that accentuated her curves, complemented by knee-high black boots and a wine-red blazer mirroring the hue of her lips, she exuded an aura of effortless elegance. With hair impeccably styled above her shoulders and eyes possessing a mesmerizing allure, the woman effortlessly commanded attention. Emma found herself ensnared within the captivating gaze, her thoughts swirling with newfound desires. Those perfectly plump lips, curving like undulating waves as she spoke, ignited a tempest of imagination within Emma's not-so-innocent mind. "I bet those taste nice..." she mused, her thoughts drifting into uncharted territory.

"The book you're deciding to put back is 'A Study in Scarlet'," the woman continued, though Emma remained captivated by her presence. "Why don't you give it a try? It's a delightful read, especially if you enjoy mysteries," she suggested with a small, knowing wink.

Emma couldn't help but entertain the notion that the woman was flirting with her. "Oh, uh, sure. Wait, was that quote from the book?" she inquired, her curiosity piqued by the enigmatic encounter.

"Only one way to find out..." With a seductive curve of her smile, the mystery woman began to saunter past Emma, leaving an air of intrigue in her wake.

Emma remained fixated on the enigmatic woman, calling out a hasty "Thank you!" But even as the words escaped her lips, it was too late—the mysterious figure had already turned the corner and vanished from sight. Left with a lingering sense of desire ignited by their brief encounter, Emma found herself unable to shake the memory. Those perfectly plump lips lingered in her mind, ensuring a restless night ahead.
